Two men found dead in Nagoya apartment in suspected murder-suicide

Two men have been found dead in an apartment in Nagoya in what appears to be a murder-suicide, police said.

According to police, the bodies were found by a deliveryman at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. One of the men, in his 60s, was found hanging from the exterior staircase of the apartment, while the body of the other man, identified as Akira Horiguchi, 74, was in his apartment on the second floor of the building, local media reported. Horiguchi’s body bore stab wounds, which police said were inflicted by a knife found close to the body of the other man.

The apartment landlord confirmed that both men were residents of the building, though no further information on the pair’s relationship has been provided as of present.

Evidence at the crime scene suggest that Horuguchi was murdered by his neighbor, who later committed suicide, police said.

I was going to say a suicide pact but I guess the stab wounds say differently. Its really terrible that the aging have to resort to such measures because the gov doesn't do anything for them.

Murder suicide is often code. The two men could have had a long relationship as a couple. Rest in peace.

I didn't say the government killed them. Just that it should do more to provide for the elderly to keep them from going insane with lonliness.
