I think I’ve seen this guy on YouTube, what’s his immigration status? Is he a tourist or what? Sounds like he needs to be booted from the country..

This Somali/American Ismael is a despicable person - bordering on terrorist. He has clearly stated his contempt for Japan and Japanese on his putrid videos, taunting them on trains about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

33 ( +39 / -6 )

The boy was lucky the prosecution only asked for a fine - equating to $1400. I wonder which nation the boy will bring his hatred to next? Pretty sure the public there won't be as restrained as the Japanese have been to this midget.

So glad this clown is still in Japanese custody, and has not been shipped back to more accommodating jails in the US. Hopefully they keep rearresting him so he cannot get out and cause more trouble.

What a despicable person... I've seen clips of him and wonder why some Yankee or other tough hasn't punched him in the face yet. As bad as he is, those who follow and support him are just as loathsome...

Maybe he should try his brand of obnoxious and offensive behaviour in Iran...

25 ( +28 / -3 )

Absolute jackass, ship him home at his own expense.

23 ( +24 / -1 )

The fine is too little for this garbage of a person. Not sure why he is not deported and get an interdiction in this country.

People like him give a bad name to foreigners all arround, and only fuels the stereotypes more.

22 ( +25 / -3 )

Let me guess. Ramsey had faced discrimination and been oppressed in his home country, and came to feel triumphant with a small success on SNS. He must have been enjoying his delusional power in Japan. The oppressed became the oppressor/aggressor as happens quite often. Is the term, "Digital detox" already dead?

17 ( +19 / -2 )

Glad he got fined for this and that he's been held for a pretty long time.

He was being such a jackass at that restaurant. Totally blasting it on purpose. If I was the gyudon frying agent, I would've chucked that boombox out the door.

There are times when sudden violence IS justified.

14 ( +22 / -8 )

you must have missed the video when what I believe to have been an Aussie slammed him in the face. Nice one, whoever you are / were.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Deport this d head and permanently ban from revisiting.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

I thought he got booted in December? Pretty sure he was also fined ¥200000 and court costs and made a formal apology for trespassing on that Osaka construction site last year. Surely he will be asked to leave now. Gotta say Japan's got it fair share of homegrown dingbat youtubers too. Did you see those twats turning up in Ishikawa last weekend with adult goods. Reprehensible.

Hopefully the government beats this fool down with bureaucracy.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Money talks. Pay up.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

I more worried about the mental health of his thousands of social media followers.

Can’t be bothered with and have no respect for influencers and live streamers in general. Maybe some have an ounce of decency, but the whole point of it is to make people watch and the best way for them is to be despicable people. Agree that the people who watch and are entertained by this are just as bad, as Thunderbird2 pointed out.

What a despicable person... I've seen clips of him and wonder why some Yankee or other tough hasn't punched him in the face yet.

There's a wonderful video of him being decked by another foreigner in Osaka.

The gentleman is a cad and a bouncer of the highest order. A man who bullied and harassed people in public ina. Vile and despicable manner and whilst doing so prancing about with a gormless grin.

These live streamers narcissists should be banned, make it illegal. They disrupt decent people going about their daily business and lower the tone of wherever they partake in their childish hobby.

Don't remember all this tough guy talk regarding Paul Logan who made more vile content while in Japan.

The fake boxer, scammer and Japan-hater? Yes, I remember there was a lot of outrage when he visited Japan. He went into the so-called "suicide forest" and filmed the poor suicide victims. All for more "likes".

Japan doesn't need street trash like these two. Her tourism is flying without the need for Japan-bashers like them.

"" Ismael, 24, known as "Johnny Somali" on Kick, has faced criticism for his videos, in which he makes light of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and makes racist comments about Japanese people.""

How SICK, how dare an idiot like him come to this nation and make such comments, it is one thing to visit or tour a nation but to Insult and make lite of it's victims and the tragic events of WW2 is another, some JAIL time could have been the proper treatment then kicked out of Japan.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

One shameless idiot with a phone can stir up a lot of trouble. But I believe the wheels of justice will finally grind him down.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I have seen this infantile imbecile on YT 2/3 times, he thinks he is popular...lol!......He is nothing but a purile piece of garbage that should be deported asap, and banned from Japan for ever.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Even 200,000,000 Yen is NOT enough for him!

5 ( +7 / -2 )

This guy is the definition of "jackass." Do with him as you see fit but don't group us all together.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Give him a 1-way ticket to Mogadishu.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Put him in a Japanese prison for 1 month & make sure everyone in there knows who he is and what he stands for.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

That one is unrepentive and despicable. He deserves to have the book thrown at him. This is the time you are supposed to set an example. Opportunity missed.

200,000 yen is absolutely nothing. He made that on the video.

Get this one out of the country and ban any reentry. He'll go someplace else and learn a very painful lesson.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Only 200,000yen? He should be locked up in a mental hospital.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

In December they set the court date and the prosecutors were asking for a 200,000 Yen fine which he received. That in itself is not the norm, the convicted person usually relieves a slightly lower sentence than prosecutors ask for, was expecting 150000

3 ( +9 / -6 )

now let’s hope the other organizations press charges too. JR, the construction common whose site was trespassed on, the ladies harassed, people “he made uncomfortable “ and so on. Americas sue culture is ridiculous but I hope it trickles down a little bit here

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Not this idiot again.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

How long can he stay as a visitor without a visa? And if he is doing his business as some sort of entertainer in Japan, does he need a work visa?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Public flogging and then send him off to break rocks for a few years. Waste of good oxygen.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Hes already been locked up whilst awaiting trial you see, he’s an awful person, serves the bugger right in my eyes you see.

1 ( +9 / -8 )

Maybe he should also be rearrested over Copyright infringement - unless he has a permit to play someone else's music to a crowd of people.

One of the Videos of Justice being Served:

The classy thing to do would be to keep collecting fines from him but otherwise ignoring. I guess deporting would be second best.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Glad that they’re giving this thug the boot, no need for atrocious people like that anywhere, I prefer he linger in a Japanese cell for a few years to teach him a lesson, but deportation is just as good, problem is, he’ll be legally allowed to come back after a year.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

They really went easy on this pest. I had hoped they would give him some more time in state.sponsored accomodation to cool off before deporting him. The Japanese justice system is strange... extremely lenient judgements are mixed with extremely harsh ones.

Wrong. There was tough talk about that one too, but Somali is a whole level higher on the nuisance scale.

Sora News should interview him.

As much as I despise this guy and all of what he'd done, I also don't like the "disrupting business" law, as anything can be "disrupting business". Although it worked out in this case against again him, I don't like the idea of a law so wide in scope.

Loud music? Disrupting business. Arrest him. Why not trespass the guy instead?

The number of times I hear of this law being used is scary.
