Couldn't have put it better myself. Such callous and erroneous acts committed by these disgusting excuses for human brings is utterly unfathomable. Five kids without the means to even properly bring them up has led to the deaths of possibly two of them, not to mention the untold suffering caused by the abuse of these two w. If there was ever a reason for forced sterilization, this is it. This worm even had the gall to say that the air rifle, weighing around five kikograms, had been used by his three year old son.

3 yrs maximum sentence, for the girl, the guy will get 7 yrs. Both out in less than 2yrs.

Some examples of the callous abuse just over the last few months include, scolding with hot water, burning with cigarettes, kicking toddlers in the head, locking in a freezing cold bathroom. That is without mentioning the number of newborns found in toilets, river beds, train lockers and boxes hidden in closets. These are only the recent ones. If you want to go back a little further in time you’ll find toddlers suffocating in garbage bins and one that still disturbs needs is a young couple who left their three-month old baby under the seat of their scooter in the middle of summer while they played pachinko. There is just not enough live in Japan.

These things are horrible, but they have been happening in all of humanity for a lot longer than the timeline you gave. Unfortunately there’s a certain portion of humanity with the capacity to do these acts, and some of those end up doing them.

How exactly could the cops have prevented a death had they investigated the death thoroughly?

Sadly SID's does happen, yet it could also have been something else. Odds are if there was nothing outwardly obvious as to why the child died, the cops would not do more than a precursory investigation.

However, the recent rapid increase in child abuse and the absolutely disgusting callousness of many of the cases forces me to believe there is a serious problem in the family unit in Japan. 

More like lowlife scum keep popping out babies that they can't care for but either want to collect child care or simply were to dumb to use protection. It will only get worse from here as the cycle continues.

The headline here doesn't do justice to the horror story in this 'family'.

Lock these two up and give the kid a better home. I've owned BB guns for years and have never even jokingly pointed them even at our pets. Despite being considered "toys", BB guns are still dangerous. I can't even begin to imagine firing at your own kid, some parents these people are

Insane people, take their children away from them

The remaining children need to be taken away before any further damage is done, who knows what they've seen or had done to them. The two human scum need to be sterilized at the very least. They can't be allowed to procreate anymore

24 year old couple, and had 4 kids already! Evidently their idea of "birth control" comes after the fact!

Punishment in kind, repeated daily, for a period of life without parole, and take the other children away and put them into a loving home PLEASE!
