Hardly surprising that the IOC is involved in the corruption.

Nor is it surprising that the Japanese end had already organised the whole corrupt process from an ex PM down. But I doubt any of them will go to jail. Steal 10 yen when you are homeless that’s a year in jail, steal millions of tax payer moneys, shame, shame go home. Think most people here know nothing is going to court and certainly nobody is going to jail over this.

my sportsmarketing and management company in Japan has been fighting this since 2017. We work ethically and morally correct but my investors, staff, clients, customers and myself are cheated out of business, revenue and profit by the.corrupt Dentsu, ADK and Ioc.

yet the “ fair trade commission” Japan, the Japanese media, all ignore us.

and I have shown over 30 years to be a leading expert in the field, even having created a j league 1 team.

we are forced out of the market as we refuse to be corrupted and so are considered dangerous as not controllable for Loc, ioc, Dentsu and others

That's efficiency!

They know the winners before start the bidding.

Japanese productivity at its best!

Well said mate… this is the reality!

The investigations, the raids, the accusations always happen after the event.

After the process for selection.

The cost to J tax payer has been eye watering, the supposed drains up, feels frankly an after thought.

Will J tax payer ever see any profit?

Will Tokyo ever be presented with a genuine legacy?

Back in 2015, Dentsu had 2-3 floors of their Shimbashi office, and of course their staff, dedicated to the Olympics, and they had been in use for a couple of years. Nothing like planning in advance, which is of course required for a project of this size.

The IOC offered Japan an Olympic games of milk and honey.

Honestly can anyone, hand on heart say the IOC delivered?

Show me the numbers!

The IOC is a spivs paradise.

Stop Sapporo! That's what matters.

My town's sports hall has an officially made poster promoting the 2030 Sapporo bid already. Do not pretend they're not trying to make it happen.

What will Taro do?

Change its vote, stop buying from the corrupted companies, or Shoganai attitude

Just hurry up and hand out the suspended sentences already and the companies "promise to be more transparent". We all know that is where this is headed, and that nothing will change.

They should also look into the very dodgy dealings that went on with the olympic stadium.

Zaha Hadid won the competition to design the stadium but her design was later scrapped as it was claimed it would cost too much. Hadid blamed the lack of a fair, competitive bidding process with construction companies for the inflated prices.

Need I mention that Shinzo Abe was also heavily involved in renegotiating the stadium contract that saw Hadid's design scrapped in favour of a Japanese architect with construction company in tow.

It's kind of karma that covid ruined their precious games.

They'll just bow their heads and say next time they will make sure the bidding process isn't rigged.

This case is only about 100 million dollars in contracts under investigation of corruption, nothing too serious if seen from a peculiar perspective, see this, a recent building was constructed in Dallas, Texas, all glass etc, cost of construcrion , 100 million, now, how many buildings like that are in Tokyo, don't worry counting ...

This NOT the first time the IOC Stunk, and it won't be the last.

But…but…but…Mr. Bach is a kind, gentle, honorable man who would never have been involved in an organization that would stoop to such low behavior!!!

Think of the kiddies! Their hopes! Their dreams!
