Scumbags.

Don’t know why they bother.

We all know the worst they can expect is a suspended sentence.

These businsses should be out of business and their assets used to support startups in the same industry. Dinosaurs should die

If they have been officially arrested they should be in custody, in detention, for questioning, and eventually being turned over to the public prosecutors office for trial.

Where has he been detained?

They want to be seen during sporting even, now they are getting coverage for free because of scandal all over the news.

In this case, I will bet any money, that it wont be a suspended sentence. The Olympics were a source of pride for the Japanese government, particularly the LDP (Abe) and similar to cases of campaign laws being broken, guys like this will get jail sentences, because they broke the trust of the public, for personal gains.

Many politicians have gone to jail for campaign finance violations, and this guy isnt even a politician. I'll bet he gets jail time, not long probably, either way, he is done.

The Tokyo 2021 trainwreck just keeps on giving.

Are these fellas languishing in a police cell whilst these investigations are ongoing or are they, as I suspect, free to go about their daily lives? I can think of one or two other people who would find that a tad unfair.

No Dentsu arrests yet?

And so goes the story of Abenomics. Any new ideas Kishida-san?

Jail him and go for the rest as well.

Good Job J Justice! . In Japan, no one is above the law. Unlike the lawless west.

Anybody surprised by this? It's almost stunningly predictable that something along these lines would happen.

The big question is:

Where has Koike been hiding?

16 ( +18 / -2 )

But yet Mori is still walking the streets after being shown to have accepted money as well... corrupt much...

13 ( +17 / -4 )

What about they bribe to get the Olympics which 80% of the population didn’t want?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Who did he fail to pay off?

Guess Abe not being here anymore really liberated some mouth.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

another proof that so called Tokyo olympics were just a big and pricey failure...wondering if any outcome from all of this checking...

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Many more arrests to come...

By the way, when is the Winter Olympics in Sapporo going to be? Any SPONSORS?

Weekly Bunshun has reported.

Haruyuki Takahashi : I don't want to relate with Olympic bid because I don't want to be arrested.

Shinzo Abe : It's all right. I defend you surely to you will be not arrested.

Wonder what happened to the one accepting the bribe.

You must arrest at least 2 people if the crime is proven: the bribe giver and the taker.

Scumbags.

Greedy scumbags. No concern for other peoples' lives while the pandemic was still raging (like it still is now). no concern for the increase of infected that resulted afterward. Abe resigned in disgrace. These jerks need prison for this!

Due to the statute of limitations in prosecuting a bribery suspect being three years,

just thought I would mention

the statute of limitations on giving a bribe being three years.

There would seem to be some conspiracy as well.

the statute of limitations on giving a bribe being three years.

Well that seems to be a really long time. Maybe an over site from LDP lawmakers. (sarcastic)

Fukami and Takahashi, 78, were both former executives of advertising giant Dentsu Inc.

No surprise there - the most corrupt company of all.

A charming family the Kadokawa; this one assumed the reins after his older brother was slotted for four years in the 90s after getting busted importing cocaine. Bubs will soon get to reprise Jeremy Renner eyeing Jason Bourne’s knife hewn calligraphy in Bourne Legacy.

I'm sure there's more to come.
