This is not the excuse the criminal think it is, when he killed her he assumed the full responsibility for it also.

Maybe he is trying to lay the basis for a later plea for impaired mental capacity?

What's scary is that the same twitter account suggested that the victim was the "third person" he had killed.

His acquaintances also said that he told them he had killed somebody before and that he buried them in the mountains which they thought were jokes back then.

The man is obviously unhinged.

It’s not so new that Sapporo is full of depressed or suicidal people. If maybe not based on or proved by statistical data, but at least one can ‘feel’ it quickly when communicating with people from there.

One wonders if people would put such requests onto Twitter if anonymity were not allowed.

Are we going to start hearing "they asked me to kill them" in addition to "I was stressed from work" and "I was drunk, I don't remember ' from now on?

If one is approached by a suicidal person, they should refer them to any crisis hotline or in the very least, to the police, and by all means, not assist in their suicide.

Unless there is evidence that the victim herself made such a request, this excuse doesn't mean much. Even if true it doesn't mean much anyway since he's still comitted murder.

Pathetic excuse, jail or gallows awaits you !!..

Maybe she did, but this kind of thing happens because of the lousy economic situation, the focus on individual profit over community, and the lack of funding for social and mental support and rehabilitation services. This is on the Liberal Democratic Party and Japan's other rightist politicians. Shame on them.

Creepy but plausible. There are many of such cases in Japan, but in this case, the guy should have the balls not to give in to the request. It is also necessary to dig deeper into the root cause of this, which is lack of support for mental health in Japan.

Not mentioned in the article is the fact the suspect, Isamu Ono was representing himself on the social media network as an Assisted Suicide Specialist and charged ¥50,000 for his services, complete with a promise "to properly dispose of the body" afterwards...

Wasn't this the excuse in another article yesterday or the day before that?

Or is this the same story.

Seems like a lot of copy and paste going on.

I went on a few dates with a girl from Hokkaido a few times. She seemed nice. Third date she asked me to go back to her place, have sex and then kill her which I thought was just a dark joke. Not a joke. She actually had the knife in her purse she wanted me to use. I excused my self to the bathroom and slipped out through the back. This guy is more than unhinged but it’s not unbelievable that this girl asked him to kill her.

Sad that this could even be considered as a potentially good alibi.

Went past the scene today, 4 police cars outside and a big chap guarding the house.

Most criminals return to the scene of the crime …. Or future copycats visit the scene working out a plan .!.

That is the most ridiculous alibi/excuse ever. Rapists sometimes say the same thing, 's/he consented or asked me to'. It's a load of bull anybody with a room temperate IQ can see their way thru this lie.

Lock this bastard up.
