Put him in a penitentiary and throw away the key. If you murder, particularly at such a young age, you’ve got faulty wiring and are a complete write off.

Perhaps. But I am reminded of a similar case where a 15 year old murdered his parents in the US, escaped from prison and then went on to become a loving and supportive father to 3 kids in Australia. This is disturbing. We need to understand what caused such violence. Violence often begets violence.

Senseless violence is always wrong, but it is specially tragic when it happens inside a family. Too soon to say anything else at this point.

The main points that must be taken into account:

1) He's a minor

2) He may have had strong reasons for committing this crime....was he being abused by his parents?

10 years from now, he will be a free man! Japanese justice system is the best.

I wish they would let people know if he was being abused? Forcing a confession but, not forcing him to say why he did it? Is a child allowed to report abuse in Japan? Perhaps there was a reason? Think about that before you say throw him in prison! If there was no reason, then yes, throw him in prison but, get him help at the same time!
