Why the Japanese men abuse their compatriots in overseas?

The Japanese restaurant owners paid the Japanese working holiday makers less than other employees. The Japanese landlord put the Japanese working holiday makers in the old shipping containers and old bus and charged same rent price as home stay. The pervert old Japanese landlord was jailed after he put spy Camera in the bathroom and the bedroom of the young couple and the girl found the Camera and reported to the Police.

They took advantage on their compatriots who have a little or no English language knowledge. I don't why they did it. I'll never ever do like these peoples. Shame on them.

The Filipina is key to holding land title out of the three. A stretch, a fine and deportation for the other two . Mabuhay to Japan.

Oh these two are in a whole heap of trouble, getting caught do something like this in the Philippines. Hahahaha they ain't coming back!

I think it's the other way around, they be better to be caught in Japan, as there is an assurance that they will face punishments.Unlike the lineincy of the Philippines , with just few grease money they can be released again that quick as corruption is rampant especially now in this Duterte administration where everyone pro Duterte are protected regardless of being corrupt or not. And that applies to everyone, Japanese, Chinese etc. All these Japanese nationals need to do is to make a Duterte fist pose say some negative things about the past administration and find a way to grease the police and judges? 100% they can be released again.

Glad they were caught there and not here. Had they been caught here they could have just said it was part of the trainee program and called it 'unfortunate', promising to look into it and be transparent in the future. Then do it again. Hope they face the full weight of Philippines law.

Give them to president Rodrigo Duterte, he knows well how to treat them in a "right" way.

Why are Japanese nationals traveling all the way to the P.I. just to take karate lessons, when they can learn them right at home?

Hey would you rather learn karate in a shoddy studio in Japan or in the tropical region of the Philippines while studying English. Easy choice.

Check the the pictures of Samal, the place they stayed. I wouldnt mind going there.

to reiterate what oldman said, this is just odd. Davao is one part of the Philippines that has stricter law enforcement than even Manila (this is Duterte's home turf by the way). I've heard of a lot of Chinese and Vietnamese workers illegally working the PH but Japanese? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Samal Island is great place btw, maybe the father-son are planning to build their own resort there?

Well, that's what happens when you take a very cheap study-abroad program. On the other hand, I'm sure making the students do a hard day's work was educational for them.

It almost sounds to me like this was some sort of boot camp type place, where parents were sending children they couldn't control or were troubled. Thus the karate, martial arts study, and lets throw in English since it is the Philippines. So even if the kids complained to the parents, they thought this is a form of tough love. Where as in fact, it turned out to be slave labour.

I do hope this trio gets life. That should be the international mandatory sentencing for human trafficking. Especially child trafficking.

What an odd story.

Why are Japanese nationals traveling all the way to the P.I. just to take karate lessons, when they can learn them right at home?

Something sounds fishy here.

nice they are caught . would have been better if they were caught earlier . hope this father and son get a long time in prison and all their money given to victims(since they were doing this for money ) . props to the people who reported it and the authorities . wish the gulf countries had some humanity and did the same. .
