So according to the WHO, vaccination with Novavax of persons under the age of 18 is not recommended, right?

According to the WHO mRNA vaccines, that were on use on the vaccination site being obstructed are recommended, while Novavax is in the process of gathering the necessary safety and efficacy information. Yes.

How is the lack of recommendation about a vaccine that was not being used pertinent to the actions described in this article?

vaccination with Novavax (which obviously was not being used at the site, because it was just approved) is the one not recommended because safety and efficacy data is being generated.

There is growing evidence that children can be safely vaccinated against COVID-19. Check the COVID-19 vaccines Q&A page or the information pages on each vaccine for advice on what age-specific guidance is in place for that vaccine.

Let's hope they don't tolerate such nonsense like it's tolerated in the US, and the nation has become an utter embarrassment as a result. Threaten Kuraoka with the maximum jail time, watch him cry for a while and give up all information on the "YamatoQ" group, then put him in prison for half the time plus massive fines. Then shut the group down.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

On that day, roughly 10 YamatoQ members, including Kuraoka, barged into the clinic, shouting, "Vaccination is a crime" and demanding to talk to the clinic's director, according to the police.

Sure, the barging in on the clinic, or the shouting in the clinic, or both is likely a criminal offense

The group alleges it is unlawful to administer shots to children when vaccines are still under clinical trial.

Is the allegation that far off though?

Matthew Hopkins

These people really did spoil the fun of 8chan.

8chan basically is QAnon. (Well, the site's owner and his son, that is.)

Seriously... How much are you getting paid to spread all this misinformation?!

People that only care about the money think everybody else is the same. They can never imagine someone could be correcting false information just because it is better for public health.

How about discussing the arguments and proving false anything you do not want to accept? If you feel the need to say something is misinformation but are unable to actually discuss how this is the case, that is because it is you the one in the wrong. Attacking other people instead of discussing the arguments is what is against the rules you accept to participate.

Before they head to prison.

They should take these fools to a hotel or hospital that is housing multiple corona patients and let them roam around for a couple of hours. See what's really going on. People may not be dying there, but they should know it's definitely not fun to have corona. Or in their case, be a complete idiot.

Then after the little field trip, send them off to jail.

Throw him in prison already! It’s one thing to do peaceful protest but it a crime to disturb public peace and business operation! Make an example out of him as these protest are becoming more and more frequent wild in Japan recently! I love the old peaceful way Japan society was known for! Western influence is making Japan into a garbage dump!

I agree it should be up to the parents to vaccinate or not, but there this thing called informed consent, which is just not happening

That is false, informed consent do not depend on any arbitrary detail people want to misrepresent, as long as pertinent information is given that lets the people judge the predictable risks of both vaccinating and not vaccinating that is enough.

So I applaud this group for trying to raise awareness,

This group is not trying to raise awareness, they are promoting false, debunked things trying to deceive people with them so they will feel unnecessarily anxious about the vaccination, and using violence on top of it. There is a reason why no institution of the world support their views, between the options of all the professionals of the world being in a conspiracy to poison their own family and friends or a group of people that have been proved to use lies to be doing it again it is painfully obvious what is more realistically the case.

Well, many meds that were not rushed to market by Warp-Speed, were years later found to be toxic and taken off the market.

Then prove this is the case here or accept this argument have no merit, COVID has proven risks even for children so expecting people to not vaccinate (and expose the children to all those risks, known and yet being discovered) just because the vaccine "may" cause something in the future is not valid.

Court orders were needed for the release of some of the data,

Which is irrelevant since we already have the completely open data from billions of vaccinated people that prove the vaccines are safe and effective, data from a few thousand people more can't change that.

Covid vaccines are not mandatory in Japan. On this, I think the government has done a decent job of informing people of the benefits and leaving it to the individual to decide. I don’t see why anyone could be upset on either extreme in Japan - it is not mandatory and the uptake has been strong.

I agree it should be up to the parents to vaccinate or not, but there this thing called informed consent, which is just not happening; it's uninformed consent. So I applaud this group for trying to raise awareness, though I'm not sure this is the best approach. At least this way they are getting news coverage. I had never heard of YamatoQ until I read about them on JT. Thanks JT!

The mayor has a responsibility to determine what's best for his constituents and do everything in his power to achieve it.

Oh! You would let your mayor decide what is good for your health?!!!

Vaccines are no different to any other medication in that they are well researched and tested before release, continually monitored and improved.

Well, many meds that were not rushed to market by Warp-Speed, were years later found to be toxic and taken off the market. Also, many pharma companies, but especially Pfizer, have been convicted multiple times and fined billions for falsifying data and bribing. These vaccines are being monitored, but the data hidden. Court orders were needed for the release of some of the data, which showed considerable adverse effects and deaths, yet crickets... All we keep on hearing is "say and effective"

There is no right and wrong. The government had tried to delay children vaccinations for a long time now compare to other countries, but things has gotten at this point because the situation require it.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Never understand why these people bother. Okay, if you don't think the vax is any good don't take it but lets not make a song and dance about it. Don't particularly support potato on pizza but I'm not going to start a demo.

7 ( +15 / -8 )

Also I'm wondering why antivaxers think that with all the resources at the pharma companies' and govts' disposal, with all the tech and the best minds money can buy, the pharmas still decided to release to market products that don't just work but actually harmful and kills.

-9 ( +8 / -17 )

What are the risks of being continually vaccinated?

It has never been done before as it has been during this pandemic-the risks are not known.

-6 ( +13 / -19 )

my local Mayor did the right thing and openly said it was upto the parent and child to decide

Can't decide yet if the qanon leader is better than this mayor.

At least the antivaxer acted on what he believed in.

The mayor has a responsibility to determine what's best for his constituents and do everything in his power to achieve it.

Seems the good mayor chose the easy path

They are also protesting what they say is a lack of transparency about the composition of coronavirus vaccines and what they allege are their dangers.

Lol, yeah. They'd definitely be able to interpret a list of complex chemicals and their effects on the human body. Wonder if any of them smoke or eat processed meat.

On the other hand, there's no crackpot theory you can't confirm with one Google search, so I'm sure they'd done their research before they decided to take the law into their own hands. Not all heroes wear capes!

8 ( +17 / -9 )

Irrational people that take pride in not recognizing any evidence that they do not want to believe (no matter how valid) are dangerous because they may end up doing things like this. When reason and logic become the enemy that means irrational actions, including violence, become justified in their minds.

The movement is said to have gained followers in many countries.

Good thing only few here
