Don’t ban them from the Olympics. Ban Chinese from buying real estate.

The fact that the Chinese gov’t is slow on details tells me a good part of it is fabrication, too. Trust no one.

Ganbare japan:
Definitely would make it far less crowded. No Saudis, Iranians, Russians, Chinese, koreans, Turks, etc.
Ganbare Japan!
Wisely argued. Add them to Russia who wont be coming, due to drug cheating, North Korea who will boycott and likely South Korea who threaten to boycott. Japan wants only friendly and kind nations in 2020.
Ganbare Japan!
This is an outrage, a political prosecution against the Itochu staff. Simply for being Japanese, an enemy of Communist China.
Summon the Chinese Ambassador immediately. PM Abe must urgently raise this issue with Trump. No trade deal for the Communists unless this innocent man is released.

There is no reason for anyone, from any country, to go to China. (I lived there for three years.)

Rgcivilian1:
Believe china did that tlt for tat when us "urged" Canada to arrest Huawei executive who was visiting. Canadian woman was soon arrested in china.

Maybe.
They scare me too. But silence from fear is the being a good man standing by watching evil happen.

With posts like that, you got to be a person of interest for the sake of national security and hence worthy of a a "stop and check" in a HK airport of your choice in the future. If you continue to post stuff like that, we (the JT community) do not have your back. You are on your own my friend, we are collectively very frightened by the "beast".

Xi complained to Japan " do something about anti-China emotion" and This!!
First off, What the heck is this "endangering national security"
Secondly, It is Itochu. Itochu has been some special like Panasonic for the country called China
Third. Where is so-called UN committees, or UN councils for Human Rights and what the heck is the reason for these useless bunch leaving this country to do whatever it wants.
Forth. What the heck is this "endangering national security" again.
Last. Every nation should employ this "endangering national security" to send anyone into jail without any explanation.

I would recommend tit for tat and arrest all the Chinese with the same issues. What's good for the goose is all fair play for the gander.

So, the unverifiable IT security expert / DJ (LOL!) knows that the Japanese man was a spy? Please show us your proof.
No, by gakinotsukai logic, it is OK for China to arrest Japanese people on dubious charges because Japan does it too.
So you are both saying "Two wrongs, make a right!"
Did they leap to the defense of the professor who recently detained on similar charges? He is an academic researcher, doing research on topics that China didn't like. He pleaded guilty, was convicted and returned to Japan.
Seems like another farce!

The problem is that due to the lack of transparency of the Chinese legal system, along with the fact that the Chinese government rules over 1.3 billion people who have had no say in the matter, and combined with a lack of a free press that is allowed to operate without government approval and interference, no information to ever come from the Chinese government or media can ever be trusted.
Maybe he was a spy. Or maybe he said something bad about Mao. Or maybe a CPP member on the street bumped into him, then took offense to his existence and decided he needed to be taken care of. Or maybe any of an infinite number of other possible reasons. All we really know is that the Chinese government has destroyed its own credibility through their oppression of the people's freedoms. So whatever story they tell us is simply whatever they decided they wanted to tell us. They have no obligation to be truthful, and going on their reputation, we've seen time and time again where they've been found to be untruthful.

The fact that MOFA isn't leaping to his defence might suggest he's guilty.

Companies and tourists should stop going to China if this farce for a justice system continues to abuse its authority.
The Chinese government won't be able to use foreigners in the media as a scapegoat to rile up nationalism in the people at a time when places like Hong Kong or Taiwan and minority groups like the Uyghurs are all calling for "Revolution"!
