Mr Anh will soon be returning to Vietnam.

Is it any wonder sometimes people are wary of these types of labor, when you see pointless incidents like these?
JeffLee
If the attacker slashed the victim several times and left multiple non-life threatening wounds, it's highly probable he didnt try to kill him, as the charge states. It doesn't take a Sherlock Holmes to figure that out. I pray that I will never be arrested by the Japanese.

What? That's a pretty strange conclusion you've made from that premise. Not the one I would logically come to myself.

If someone slashes someone else’s abdomen multiple times with a knife, the logical conclusion is that the attacker had an intent to kill the victim.
Do the hustle
So, the above conclusion has been made based on a single incident in nearly 30,000 recent foreign immigrant workers inducted into Japanese servitude? How many people are stabbed every week by Japanese? Following the logic of the statement, one should be wary of Japanese people.

Wary of these types of labour but enjoying the rugby wins.

after spending 10-20 years in a Japanese jail.

No it isn't. Stabbing is normally how people try to kill people with a knife. Slashing isn't nearly as effective for penetrating critical organs. The exception is slashing the jugular, but the perp aimed elsewhere. Rather, he left numerous "non-life threatening" injuries. That indicates he had the chance to kill but chose (repeatedly) to injure instead.
Check out the current London knife murder wave. These cases are nearly always "stabbings," not "slashings"

JeffLee OK? Does any of this make this attack with a deadly weapon any less of an attack with a deadly weapon? Is the outcome of bodily harm as opposed to death make the act of the attack any less sever?
If this is how you think I sure hope you're not in Japan. This is the kind of thing that (hopefully) raises "prevention" awareness in legal authorities, and can lead to a rejection of a visa application.

It would be extremely difficult to kill someone by slashing their stomach with a utility knife if the knife in question fits the description I have in my mind. What most people call a utility knife is also called a box cutter and has a blade less than an inch in length. Only if he had been slashing at the victim's throat would I consider it attempted murder.
