Windows smashed in 8 cars in Sapporo residential area

Police in Sapporo said Thursday that eight cars had their windows smashed in a street in a residential area.

According to police, the eight cars were parked outside homes or in parking lots in a street in Nishi Ward. TBS reported that at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, a newspaper deliveryman noticed cars with their driver's side windows smashed and notified police.

Police said various items had been stolen from the vehicles.

Had this been in America, the first car would have kicked up such a rumpus that the perpetrator(s) would have fled the scene leaving the 7 other cars intact...
