A 35-year-old woman and her 40-year-old male friend were attacked by the woman’s ex-husband as they walked along a street in Osaka’s Abeno Ward on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 8:10 a.m. in front of a FamilyMart convenience store, Fuji TV reported. A passerby called 110 to report that a man was fighting with another man and woman.
Police said the two victims suffered stab wounds to the neck and stomach. They were taken to hospital and are in a stable condition, police said.
The woman told police the assailant was her ex-husband. A blood-stained box cutter, believed to be the weapon used, was found about 150 meters from the scene of the attack, police said.
The suspect, Toru Murakami, who is 54, was arrested at around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday 110 kilometers away in Yosano, Kyoto Prefecture. Police said he has admitted to the crime.

My brother-in-law and his partner has 18 years difference. A family friend is 20 years older than her partner and no one has been stabbed believe it or not.

No wonder she wasn't with this clown anymore. Who knows, the other guy could have just been a co-worker, etc. and was caught in a situation in which he had no involvement.
