Woman, 3 children found stabbed to death in car

A woman and three children were found stabbed to death in a car in a park in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, on Wednesday morning.

Police said they received a call at 1:30 a.m. from a man who said he had stabbed four people in Mizuishiyama Park, Fuji TV reported. Police rushed to the park and found four bodies in the back seat of the car. They were later identified as Minako Yoshikawa, 43, her 15-year-old son Ayumu and her 13-year-old twins Kayano and Kanon. All four had been stabbed in the neck and were confirmed dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, is believed to have been in a relationship with Yoshikawa. He had non-life threatening stab wounds to his stomach and neck but was conscious. Before being taken to hospital, police said he told them he had killed the woman and her children and that he had tried to kill himself. Several blood-stained knives were found in the car.

Police said the man faces four murder charges but will wait until he recovers before questioning him further.

What’s the bet the women wanted to end her relationship with him so he killed them all?

"...police said he told them he had killed the woman and her children and that he had tried to kill himself."

But he failed to kill himself. Failed at everything in Life. Probably unemployed, living off the hard-working (single-mother) woman, unresponsive to her 4 children, going to play pachinko every day. Pathetic. Just pathetic. Despicable. Mukatsuku na.

Dammit! Why the children too? This makes me furious!!!

You would think that at least one of the teenagers would have been able to escape. One person killing 4 people at once with a knife is quite extraordinary.

Can´t help thinking the good police record here is partly because so many criminals call the cops and turn themselves in.

How can you manage to stab four people to death but not be able to do it to yourself.

What a bastard.

In a relationship with Minako Yoshikawa? Does this mean that one or both of them were married?

A woman and three children were found stabbed to death

This is tragic.

Tragic and sad news for their friends and family. No reason as to why, but wonder if his financial situation was a driver to push him towards this way out.

Another selfish and pathetic control freak male who can't handle bring rejected,?

Sad to see a story like this. 4 lives needlessly cut down. What makes this worst is that the situation between the mother and the man she was seeing spilled onto to the children as well.

Weird how the article starts by saying they were “found”, then proceeds to say how the perpetrator TOLD them. Much more of the story was on the news too, like they were both married (not to each other).

I wish society would create a fitting punishment for this type of crime. Poor kids.

Women always under estimate the violence of the man next to them. This is a classic problem.

Very sad story.

And yet again, a person so selfish that they want to take their own lives to escape circumstances they could resolve if they chose to in other ways, and then is so evil they want to take others with them. Sickening. The guy is definitely going to get his death guaranteed, at least. But if people absolutely MUST take their own lives, PLEASE leave others out of it. I hope they don't sentence him to death, at least not right away. I hope instead he gets to rot in a general prison population and is abused for every single day of his life that remains. Maybe he'll realize that, "shucks, things weren't so bad before!".

Every Country has it's own weird side.

I feel sorry for the Kids involved, they had no choice in this matter

This chap certainly deserves to be taken out of contact with the General Public.

IF, your relationship has come to an end, just walk away, it takes a man to walk away, why do people have to be so selfish? why did he have to kill her and her kids, didn't she want him to move in with them? was there a break up in the relationship? walking away is hard for a short period of time, we've all been there, but we dont go around killing or partner and kids, thats not on. I dont think this guy is going to get any sympathy from anyone, especially from the judge.

Women always under estimate the violence of the man next to them.

Sometimes, not always. Some men are not violent, and some women do not underestimate the potential for violence of the man they are with.

Best to stay away from generalizations like that, as they frame all women as weak and all men as monsters.

hes deserves nothing less than the death penalty..

Giving him exactly what he wants doesn't seem like much of a penalty to me. Throwing him in jail would certainly be a better punishment.

I can’t imagine the horror the kids felt before dying

I don't know if you all who commented here are Japanese. I'm not. But you must understand the "Japanese way" of solving issues before you commend in such a case. No way this is a murder. It's a classic group suicide case. Kids are not kids after 10 in Japan, they are individuals. So they are free to choose their lives. For westerners is difficult to understand. Japanese society is very different. Let's just pray for them to rest in peace. For the surviver panishment is to be alive. If they give him the chance he would kill himself. That is what you learn studying history of Japan.
