Furthermore, if you don't comply with a court order, isn't the judicial system supposed to make sure you do? It is INCREDIBLY difficult to enforce an order of a civil court,winning a case is hard enough, but enforcing an order for payment ( a bit easier if a big company or a government office) is 10 times harder again, consider that before you sue.

I wonder what implications this ruling has for the millions of other kept girlfriends and mistresses in Japan. Cant help feeling that making mistresses pay back money they have received is slightly misogynistic, although in this case the guy was not a creep who was paying a student to be his mistress, and the woman does seem very manipulative and self centred.
