Eons ago, my first wife who was very abusive, would sometimes punch me in my sleep. Thankfully that was all.

What gave it away, the stab wound or the flaming futon or perhaps both?

She’s remaining silent, thinking up a good excuse I suppose. Pathetic.

Lock her up, she’s obviously dangerous.

Well, actions do speak louder than words. Plain to see what she had in mind. The burning futon could have caught the whole house on fire, making even her own mother a victim. Whatever's wrong with her, he should have already filed divorce papers.

These kinds of articles are difficult to assess. Is she just a raving loon or has she been subjected to years of abuse to push her far enough to stab him and set fire to his bed?

Got it. Avoid Michiyo Katsuura at all costs.

Um. Sounds like the husband has narrowly escaped death. But there're a lot of difficulties lying ahead between them. There's no choice but to divorce as he can't even sleep well with his demon wife. :‑(

My first spouse burned my 3 year old daughter’s feet with Katori Senko, so I barricaded us in a bedroom after that for sleeping.

There are some crazies out there. Be careful.

It is hard to imagine being driven to a point where stabbing someone and trying to set them alight is an option, but there are better ways to deal with situations. I wonder if the wife will ever talk.

It is tempting to say he is lucky to be alive, but presumably anyone who has been stabbed and left in a burning futon that produces visible flames will be pretty badly disfigured. So not exactly "lucky" then.

She sounds like a real nutter and bad news. It seems like she's one of those "passive-aggressive" types who just erupted. @ shogun36, I will definitely avoid her at all costs.

Stabbing plus setting fire to futon... now that is a serious case of lack of anger management..

Like that movie way back, The Burning Bed, starring Farrah Fawcett.

I'm sure she was drunk. Release her now.

There is two sides to this story her story and his sweet dreams or nightmare which ever he wants to call it. In other words. For him all he can do now is rest ea
