Woman arrested for attempted murder of 9-year-old son, and her mother

A 33-year-old unemployed woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill her 9-year-old son and her 63-year-old mother at their hone in Osaka's Higashinari Ward.

According to police, on Oct 10, Momoko Katsuya told her mother to “prepare 500,000 yen” because she was going to leave home. After pressuring her mother for the money (which she didn't get), Katsuya allegedly strangled her, but the woman was not seriously injured, Sankei Shimbun reported

Two days later on Oct 12, Katsuya lashed out at her son, yelling, “You’re the worst [and] I’m going to kill you." She then strangled him using both of her hands. Her mother intervened and was pushed against a wall by her daughter.

Police said Katsuya has denied the charge and quoted her as saying, "Although I lost my temper and did strangle [them], I had no intention to kill anyone.”

Following Katsuya's arrest, Osaka Prefectural Police disclosed that the local child welfare center had visited the home on two occasions in May after she was suspected of abusing her son.

Really? Was the strangling just meant to be a massage?

Well, hopefully that child will finally be separated from her. She attempted to strangle both her mother and son. She is an unfit mother.

She certainly has some issues and a few demons appearing from her. Maybe she just needs a bit if a break to sort herself out and regain a proper perspective on life..... maybe that is.
