A 42-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday for allegedly fatally stabbing her 82-year-old father in the city of Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture. Police said that Funabashi resident Kazumi Nakadani was arrested after she stabbed her father, Michishige Komeyoshi, in the chest with a kitchen knife.

Nakadani brought the bloody knife to a nearby police box and turned herself in. Police rushed to Komeyoshi's residence but found the man dead upon arrival. Nakadani admits to the charges, and was quoted as saying, "I've hated my father since I was a child."

Now he's dead, and you still hate him. Way to go.

The father must of did something pretty foul to his daughter when she was a child. I bet she couldn't have a normal relationship with any man because of it. People don't like talking about what really goes on in families in Japan. I guess she got all of her childhood frustrations and pain out by stabbing him at his weak state, like when she was a weak child. Just a speculation..... so read between the lines.

This the acutal education given by her mother in society not only this family may be there are just have to burst.Society grown only giving emphasis for money not for humankind value, if her father gave lot of money he will not suffer in this weak age. How Japanese can wait and see untill the somebody became weak stage.

No comment-- Why because none of us know the reasons why she did this ?

i wish she talked to someone about this before she committed a crime. Maybe she reached out to many people, but people ignored her. Who knows ???

Taking the knife to the police station? Wow. Maybe she will get a light sentence for her action and long suffering.

I want to blame it on something. I blame it on the world for it. No one said life is easy. It is a struggle all the way.

Lots of kids hate their parents. Most deal with it by becoming independent and moving out of the house as quickly as they can. Others let their hate fester and then a big argument when they are in their thirties. Still others, like this nutter, wait until the old man is too weak to defend himself and then stab him in the chest.

Maybe she was raped when she was three. Maybe she thought she was a princess and daddy never bought her a pony. Nobody knows, as her imagination will come with all kinds of excuses and reasons why she did this.

Where was her mom during all these years of hate?

That being said, I've seen/heard some old coots in grocery stores bossing their wives/female family members around like low paid slaves. that has to get on your nerves after a while.

Revenge is way out of control in Japan.

If she really hated her father, why didn't she move away from him when she was younger? If she had done at least that, this crime might never have happened.

Japanese sure are dangerous with kitchen knifes, 99% deadly stabbing rate. Seems best to stay far away from the kitchen if you get into an argument with one.

"Seems best to stay far away from the kitchen if you get into an argument with one".

Yep, I'd never get into an argument with a kitchen either (sorry ... just couldn't resist!).

No Police and GoJ have reason to fingerprint and photograph son.

She hated her father maybe because he is very old and need a caregiver. She cant take care of him, thats why she takes care of him.

Maybe not... the article says, Nakadani admits to the charges, and was quoted as saying, “I’ve hated my father since I was a child.”

So, I don't think the taking care of him was the issue here.

and...she waited this long. Man, I wonder what made her hold on to such hatred for her father for all these years.

She's hated him since she was a child and now she's forty-two? That's a LONG time to hold onto that kind of anger. I wonder what finally made her snap?

Got to point back to rodmartin's post. If you've hated someone for almost 40 years, then something recent was the trigger or this murder would have happened much earlier. I'm guessing he developed some medical condition which would heap a bigger burden on her. That might have been the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.

Please remember that their ancestry with swords and knives goes way back in the "SAMURAI WARRIOR" days so this type of violence is natural. I continously stress that these people cannot be rational in their minds. They continue to not seek professional help because of their pride. They each have a bomb within their minds that is waiting to explode.
