Woman arrested for slashing items in clothing store

A 58-year-old woman has been arrested for slashing clothes in a women’s clothing store in Ageo, Saitama Prefecture, police said Sunday.

According to police, Kyomi Fujino, a part-time worker, has admitted to slashing clothes with a small knife at the store in the Mallage Shobu mall on Jan 7, Fuji TV reported. She was identified through surveillance camera footage.

Police quoted Fujino as saying she slashed the clothes because she didn’t like the attitude of a store employee.

Police said Fujino, who has been charged with destruction of property, is also being questioned about five similar incidents that have taken place at stores belonging to the same clothing retail chain since last October.

Oh, good grief! What a flipped out loon! Many ageing and elderly Japanese just totally lose the plot as they get older. They might have the longevity statistics, but they definitely don't age well.

Hey Disillusioned, I'm 58 and totally far from being a loon. LOL Don't believe age has anything to do with it. Believe more about feeling privileged.

Nut.

If she didn't like the attitude of that certain employee, then she could've reported it to the manager or to other authorities. Leave the innocent merchandise alone

It starts out as clothes, but then she’ll be slashing people next. My guess is she’s single and living with her mother.

Hey! I'm 58 too and I don't think I am a loon either. However, neither of us are Japanese either.

Was she terminated from her role and served a lawsuit for damages?

It happens a lot more often than what is reported. I worked for a clothing company and they would find slashed items reularl in arious store locations . People would use mostly those small eyebrow rasors . Saw a few on cctv. These people would only come once and never again so it makes it hard to find them.

Are you suggesting that anyone who loses their temper and does something stupid deserves to have their entire livelihood and ability to feed themselves and their family stripped away? Seems a bit harsh, especially if it has little to no bearing on their job performance.

That's one small step from putting needles in bread snacks.

Would hate to be her boyfriend or husband and make her mad. She might just start cutting off random things. Maybe it's time stores start offering price matching? Maybe that would help with their services?

She didn't look too repentant when she was being driven in the police car.

She just gave the first excuse she could think of..the way a small child would. Does not mean it is the real reason (which is probably that she is psychologically imbalanced or perhaps taking first steps to dementia)

As a male, I’ve never felt that I have had a grudge against any particular retail store employee. I wonder what makes these women so worked up that they feel that they have to resort to this kind of behaviour .. ?

As a male, I’ve never felt that I have had a grudge against any particular retail store employee.

Neither have the overwhelming majority of females. While some males have also done weird things against employees. So I'm not clear on what the relevance of being male is in your comment - it seems quite irrelevant. You aren't saying that this crime was due to something specific about her being female, are you? If so, what?
