Police in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, have arrested a 36-year-old Chinese woman on suspicion of killing a 25-year-old man in her apartment in December.

According to police, Wang Xueyun was operating an illegal sex business in the apartment, TV Asahi reported. She is accused of stabbing the man, a company employee from Ibaraki Prefecture, at around 9:30 p.m. on Dec 26.

Wang fled the apartment that night, but was detained in Fukui City. She was initially arrested on suspicion of overstaying her visa. On Thursday, police charged her with the man's murder.

When she was arrested, Wang had bruises on her face, police said, adding that she may have been injured by the victim who had come to the apartment to receive sexual services as a customer.

Police said Wang has remained silent during questioning.

Self defence. Would be pretty scary having to deal with your own security working as a prostitute.

The arrested was a Chinese National but how about the victim?

Japanese or Chinese?

If I’m out in the city at night there will be several attempts at solicitation, the women are usually Chinese.

Is this a phenomenon in most cities in Japan?

“Is this a phenomenon in most cities in Japan?”

I think it's a quite common phenomenon even in smaller cities throughout Japan these days. Some of the Chinese women soliciting on the street on my way home from the train station have been here for several years. I wonder how they get their visas renewed.

Or she may have been injured because the victim was trying to defend himself while HE WAS BEING STABBED BY THIS PROSTITUTE!

How do we know he wasn't being extorted for more money than originally agreed upon? And when an argument ensued, SHE started the stabbing?
