A 39-year-old woman was arrested Sunday over the hit-and-run death of an elderly woman in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Emiko Tanabe, hit and killed Shineko Saito at about 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, NTV reported. Tanabe and her husband went to a police station on Saturday afternoon and she turned herself in, police said.
