Woman arrested over murder of common-law husband

Police in Towada, Aomori Prefecture, have arrested a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of killing her 30-year-old common-law husband.

According to police, Sakiko Miura, a beauty salon worker, has admitted to stabbing Kyohei Wada, a company employee, in the neck at their home at around 11:40 p.m. on Monday, Fuji TV reported. Miura called 119 about 10 minutes later and said she had stabbed her husband.

Wada was taken to hospital where he died early Tuesday morning. Police found a blood-blood-stained bread knife with a 30-cm-long blade, which they believe was the murder weapon, near the body in the first-floor living room.

Police said the couple lived with their four children in the two-story house. None of the children were injured.

Police said they had been called to the house twice in the past after Miura complained that Wada had been violent toward her when he was drunk.

Why do I get the feeling that the world is not going to miss this guy?

Get drunk, go home, beat your wife, traumatize the kids. Prince of a guy.

At least he won't be violent any more.

Miura complained that Wada had been violent toward her when he was drunk.

She’d had enough of his abuse and took action. Feel sorry for the four kids who no longer gave a father.

Justifiable homicide, self defense, protection of minors,

Aside from the fact that she stayed with this vermin, give her a medal.

Where were these people who were called to her house on multiple occasions when she needed them.

Now we are going to have 4 unfortunate kids in protective custody and traumatized for the rest of their lives.

Good work Japan.

Screwed up system.

What's the difference between common law husband and boyfriend?

Doesn't give her the right to murder him though, she should have left the house while he was working out something.

Fixed that problem but a prison cell should still be in her future.

@Eugene

*I totally disagree how could you call this murder a Justifiable homicide, self defense, protection of minors, do you live in their house you only know what you read there is a lot more to this story besides this guy just drinking. *

*Your logic is baseless total non-sense, this lady had four children with this guy do you think it took four kids and then all of a sudden she decides to kill him. I am willing to bet life was not always what you and some others tend to think about their relationship. Again you didn't live in their home. * Aside from the fact that she stayed with this vermin, give her a medal.

*The people who were called were doing what you are doing going about their daily business. Japanese police tend to not get involved in domestic affairs* Where were these people who were called to her house on multiple occasions when she needed them.

*No, the mother will have 4 kids in protective custody she will not see a day in jail, she will get a suspended sentence* Now we are going to have 4 unfortunate kids in protective custody and traumatized for the rest of their lives.

*LMFAO, you are so warped minded you blame the husband then want to blame Japan *Japan Good work Japan.

*Don't blame the system, millions of people thrive within the same system and it seems to work but when it doesn't work for a few in this case you blame the system. Remember the wife who I am not blaming also had an opportunity to get out of a marriage if she saw that it did not work for her, yes she had four kids, did she really have to stab her husband? Was she thinking about the consequences of her children life when she decided to take her husbands life, perhaps it could have been alot easier to just walk away. * Screwed up system.

Let's get the facts straight here.

If what she says is true, then she had many chances to take the children and escape, at least 2 chances it seems. She decided to stay with him and in the end murder him.

Japan is extremely strict with crime, if the assault by him was really bad, there's no way the police wouldn't have arrested him on those 2 house visits. Regardless, she had 2 chances to escape, minimum.

Instead, she ruined her 4 children's lives by murdering their dad while they were in the same house. Those kids are now traumatized and will never have their parents.

You really think she won't get jail time for this? ..... This isn't America; she is 100℅ getting jail time for this and her children will go under someone's care. It was also discussed on the morning news talk show. This is an absolute tragedy for the children.

She’d had enough of his abuse and took action.

Maybe. And maybe she's lying. Conveniently for her, the defendant is no longer alive to defend himself against such accusations.
