Police are looking for a man who attacked a 22-year-old woman with a small rock as she walked home in Akiruno, Tokyo, early Monday.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on a bridge crossing the Tama River. Fuji TV reported that the woman was walking home after finishing her part-time work at a pub when a man suddenly came up behind her and hit her repeatedly with what appeared to be a small rock.
Police said the woman suffered broken ribs and also sustained injuries to her head. The woman told police the man, whom she had never seen before, said nothing during the attack and fled on foot.© Japan Today
