Police on Tuesday said that three women sustained minor head injuries after being assaulted one after the other by another woman in Tama, Tokyo, on Monday afternoon. After hitting the women on the head, the female suspect fled the scene, police said.

According to police, the first incident occurred at around 1:25 p.m. TBS reported that two women, aged 77 and 67, walking along in front of Odakyu Tama Center train station, when they were suddenly struck on the head by an unknown young woman who promptly fled the scene. Approximately 10 minutes later, a 52-year-old woman was attacked, apparently by the same woman, 500 meters away from the scene of the first incident.

Police said the suspect is in her 20s, approximately 160 cm tall, and was wearing a white jacket and pants. The three injured women told police they did not know the attacker.

Another nutter on the loose

Everyone look out for a female in her 20s of average height wearing a jacket and pants. There are not many people around fitting that description, it should be easy to find her.

Sounds like a stand up comedy act. The 'boke' and, I forgot the other....

Tama Center's a horrible, concrete monstrosity. Had to stay a night there once - nearly lost it!

Now I'm curious.... of all the potential targets.... what made her pick those three?

Sounds like this women never grew up just playing the adult came of tag or should I say "KNOCKOUT". You're it!!

I think Tama Center is quite nice compared to other parts of Tokyo. Any case, in front of the station is brazen there were probably a lot more witnesses, and a Koban is just around the corner (nearer to the Monorail station).

@Stewart Gale: Well, can you blame the editors for wanting personal descriptions to be within what they deem to be foreign guidelines of political correctness? (I wonder if a Japanese newspaper version of this report was somewhat more informative in reporting the older ladies' descriptions of the suspect... Agreed that the Japanese version couldn't have been much less specific!)

Weird. Just weird.

This is strangely related to the recent silly acts of crime in the US called >The Knockout Game, where young thugs approach an elderly person and try to knock them out then run. Fortunately this loony did not get it right.

Skinny woman in her 20s with "okappa" hairstyle, white down jacket and black pants - is what the J news said. a bit more specific I guess.

This is another cancer Japan gets from the USA's culture, it's called "The Knockout Game". A very dangerous physical assault upon unknown and often helpless people then put on the internet for and by the cooperator for their own self interest. Senryokugai Sousakan Episode 3 is about this.

Another nut-case on the run...!?! Why am I not surprised...

Oh shove off - it's so easy to just blame the US or someone outside instead of looking into internal societal issues, huh? And this bears no real resemblance to the knockout game. By the way, did you know there's something from the UK called 'happy slapping' that predates the knockout game? However you didn't see every last person in the US jumping up and down pointing the finger at the UK and saying 'ooooh it's another example of the British invasion! Well thank god at least there aren't any societal issues like increasing economic disparity yadda yadda yadda that could be causes of such behavior - that would suck', did you? No. And that issue aside, you can't call knockout game 'USA's culture'. I assume you just don't know the proper definition of culture so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but if people could stop trying to say things like that are culture it would be really great. It would be like me saying that guys stealing large piles of women's shoes or underwear or other clothing items is Japanese culture. It's not, is it?

Since the ladies were not hurt the woman that did it, if caught, can claim she bumped into them.
