Police in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of killing a 29-year-old woman whose body was found at a shrine.

According to police, Tatsumi Ishizawa strangled 29-year-old acquaintance Shizuka Yamada on the grounds of Kashima Shrine at around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Fuji TV reported.

Police said that Ishizawa had demanded that Yamada pay back money that he had loaned her. Ishizawa was quoted by police as saying an argument broke out and he lost his temper.

No.

A fool and his money are soon parted. I have to wonder how much money he "loaned" her, and whether she was working him over like a customer at a juicy bar.

Well she's definitely not going to pay him back now.

I can hear it now..."What do you mean no? After all I've done to help you, we're not going to be together?" Maybe he thought it was "compensated dating", like we've read about before in JT.

Always get it in writing.

Cold, people, really cold... The excuses that some of these scumbags come out with to justify killing beggars belief. RIP young lady.

The suspect had loaned money to the woman only to kill her? And he has now ended up paying a lofty price for killing her in a fit of anger. WAI !

May her soul rest in peace.

Did he really loan her money or just using it as an excuse? If he can provide proof to Police he could provide proof in court. Just a killer in my opinion.

So it was okay to kill her if she had borrowed money and refused to pay him back?

Another typical example of the lack of thinking that goes on with so many who snap here.

A) "I loaned her money and she wouldn't pay me back"

So, how's she going to pay you back now?

B) "I lost my temper"

And now that you're going to be in prison (granted, given the justice system here not for very long, probably), are things going to be better for you? More level-headed?
