Police said Friday that a 21-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Tokyo's Nakano Ward after failing to show up at work on Thursday.

The woman, identified as Misaki Yokoyama, was found by her employer who visited her house at around 7:40 p.m. Thursday night, Fuji TV reported. She was found lying face up on her bed with blood on her face. Police said she had been beaten and then apparently strangled to death.

According to police, the woman lived in the apartment with a 22-year-old man said to be her boyfriend. His body was found in Shibuya at around 5 a.m. Friday after he apparently jumped from a building rooftop, Fuji TV reported.

Wow! What can you say to this one? "the beat goes on?"

At least we know who the killer is.

Wow, Japanese people really need to stop thinking death is the answer to life's problems!

At this point, the only culprit in question is the jumper. Why? Well she probably wanted to break up with him, asked him to move out, he lost his cool and decided to take her life. Walking around realizing that he will be shackled for a while, the only way he was able to cope with reality is to end his life. It was probably best for him to jump anyway. Going to prison is only our tax money being wasted on him. At least it's CASE CLOSED.

As people might guess from my previous comments on other articles, I have no sympathy for suicides. Unless for the purpose of saving someone else, it is a completely selfish act, no matter the motives. In this case, if the boyfriend committed the murder, my disgust is twofold.

Uhm, is it just me or is igea62fes! violating one or two of JT's posting rules (and quite possibly the law) by implying the threat of physical violence?

Two words: "Anger Management"

I'm assuming guilt on the guys part here but I hope he rots in hell.

you may never know unless you are in their shoes. nobody wants to die. the people who is thinking of taking their own lives are the people who needs a lot of care and understanding. but in the case of this news, i guess he was being eaten by his concience

Murder suicide is not just a Japanese thing. Happens all the time in the US, just on a larger scale there.

Before I jump on the bandwagon, how about this scenario... Boyfriend discovers that the love of his life has been murdered and can't face life without her and suicides.

Crazy I know, but maybe he didn't do it.

that usually happens after a few days of the discovery, not that fast.

@ the-grouch:

You nailed it...

Ideally he should suffer for all he's done. But it would take ages for the law to work here and then he might just walk with only a slap on the wrist.

This was not an act of the that particular hour, there is a background the people in this society are already living on the age, feelings sharing, trust ,hope, friendship, reliance, sympathy, harmony and mutual understanding is vanishing in the society and we can not buy these things from the so called counseling shops. individualism and a broken society just produce broken hearts and vulnerable individuals, only human beings can heal each other in a peaceful society.

First all the problems should be recognized and then a bold step for solution should be taken from all aspects of the society.

This could perform as the perfect crime if Someone will her first and then kill the boy pushing him from the roof.....

Sometimes the ones who seem so nice and friendly...are not in real life. I will never make an excuse for men that can't deal with rejection and act like they are a 5 year old jerk. The nature of the relationship is incidents that occurred during the relationship, the feelings of unfairness, etc., can greatly affect how someone handles a breakup. Thus, when the relationship ends, they feel abandoned and can’t handle the thought of not having someone to support them anymore. Likewise, if someone has had more relationship experience, it makes it easier to deal with breakups. They’ve been through it before, they know they can get through it and go on with their lives. This is part of maturity. Especially in a first relationship, it’s common to think that it will last forever, that their significant other is the only person for them. It just takes time and experience to deal with these things.

Very sad news.

BTW. Seems he wasn't a "boy," ergo not a "boyfriend."

and act like they are a 5 year old jerk.

Haven't met too many 5 year old jerks in my life. Most 5 year old kids are pretty good!
