"Can't remember" seems to be a common trait with perpetrators and is not one which should be universally accepted- hopefully, he won't remember being confined either.

Mental illnesses are prevalent in Japan!

Japanese police need to be trained to detect men with mental disorders. This is a huge problem. Lots of men over 40 who are mentally unstable all over the developed world. Especially in the USA.

Japan is becoming a dangerous place now with random knife attacks at train/subway stations almost daily. Watch out.

Well this is becoming a worrying trend in Japan. It's probably time to install plainclothes officers on trains at at stations to do random sweeps.

Many Japanese men need a mental check-up. Many are dressed gently outside but mentally unfit. There are some crimes committed by these people and the excuses they give by committing the crime are so childish that only an insane person could cause that harm.
