On a second note, I find it a tad bit unsettling that when you have a bleeding woman in your Taxi, the best choice would be to RUN to a nearby police box, RUN BACK with the cops, so they can check the still bleeding to death woman and decide whether or not she needs an ambulance. Taxi's have radios, right?

Other countries have pubs and entertainment places and incidents like this do happen. Not on a daily basis like this. Maybe Jgov should consider abolishing these places as the citizens of this country do not know how to benefit out of it. Anyway, when you come from a poor country and want to be among rich people to make money, then things like this could happen. Because no one cares about you.

If woman died than is a murder. He stab her in the back. Before she died charge would be attempted murder and after her death charge should be upgraded to murder!!! This is pure domestic dispute.

I think Illegally riding a bicycle carries a much stiffer penalty than murder one under JN Law...

"Bicycle theft" gets you beaten and life in prison. "Murder" gets you a fine and suspended sentence.

womanforwoman: how do you know that she came from a poor country. Given it was a late night and she worked in a pub, but many Japanese women work in pubs also. Philipinas and Thai's don't have the market cornered on working late night in pubs.

womanforwomen, no hurt feelings. But you are probably right. But more than likely it could have been a Japanese woman too. Not too familiar with the area, but I believe that area is filled with pubs that are owned and operated by Japanese and have mostly Japanese women. Based on reporting I normally see here at JT, since they did not mention the nationality of the woman, I am assuming that it was a Japanese woman. Normally if something like this happened to a foreign woman, they state her nationality.

I agree with Alphaape. If she was a foreigner they would have shouted it from the roof tops. More than likely she was Japanese.

my guess is it is a japanese woman. she is a tad on the old side for a foreign worker. also foreign workers tend to be driven back to their slum on mass in a minivan.

Midori-ku. Thats Nakayama station on the Yokohama line, isnt it? I used to work there. Kinda shady compared to some of the nicer stations on the Denentoshi.

When people get stabbed in the back of my taxi, it hardly raises my pulse. Panic is out of the question. And the fact that there is no metal mesh screen between me and the action? No biggie. I just grab the mike, turn around (which means one hand is on the mike and one assisting my twisting around. No way to raise my hands in a defensive position, but oh well) and calmly relay the play by play to the taxi operator. If he is busy giving directions to another cab, no big deal. I can wait. Meanwhile, I ask the assailant if he is going to off me or himself first now that his victim appears to be dead, or if he plans to flee. They usually say "What? You still here?! Are you freaking stupid???", or something like that; I am paraphrasing.
