Police in Ibaraki, Osaka, are searching for a man on a bicycle who attacked a woman while she was pushing a baby stroller.
According to police, the incident occurred at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Fuji TV reported that the woman, in her 30s, was pushing the stroller with her 7-month-old son in it, when she was hit from behind by a man on a bike. The woman told police the man struck her with some sort of rod and then fled.
Police said the woman suffered wounds to her head requiring three stitches. The baby was unharmed.
The assailant is described as being in his 20s, with short black hair and wearing a gray coat.

Who attacks a mother pushing a stroller? Pathetic piece of ****, I hope you are caught and imprisoned for a long time!! At least the baby was unharmed, if the mother had passed out this story could have turned tragic in minutes with today's windy weather!

@Bear and anyone else blaming video games- I always play DPS/exorcist priest in games..you don't see me going around places exorcising people tho (or healing people, as much as I would love to!)

Why is everyone blaming this on video games? How often do you see this kind of thing by people playing GTA in the US? It's a societal problem. The guy is a scumbag, and a coward, to do what he did, and hopefully he will be caught punished to the full extent of the law.

This is quite reminiscent of that 'knockout' fad going on in New York where 'heros' come up behind an innocent and knock them out. They've only killed three people (so far).

Well, that rules out 0.1% of the male population.
I hope they catch this scum and give him something to think about but it's not likely, unless he does it again.
But overall Japan is safer than most countries. Those who think otherwise must live in Switzerland.

Let me guess. This crime was committed by an unemployed man in his 30's who lives with his mother and plays video games all day. His confession will be "I wanted to hurt somebody, and she seemed like an easy target"

I do wish it were a little easier for people with mental health problems to be institutionalized.

That's not what I said. Did you know 'hikkikomori' was entered in the English dictionary recently? It's because there is no English translation -- it's a Japanese phenomena. Be they fat, thin, or in between it is no matter, and not limited to US culture. Glad you agree with me on the video game part, although it was seemingly sarcastic.
