A 26-year-old woman was stabbed by a man in Tokyo’s Koto Ward late Friday. Police said the suspect, who was in his 30s, died after having apparently jumped from a nearby apartment building where he lived.
According to police, the incident occurred in Kiba at around 11:55 p.m. Friday. Kyodo News reported that woman collapsed on the street after running out of the building, screaming for help. A passerby called 110 and told police a woman was covered in blood, saying a man she knew had attacked her.
Police said the woman suffered several stab wounds to her left chest and back, but her wounds were not life-threatening.
The suspect was found on the ground in front of the apartment building. A blood-stained knife was found near his body. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

So often with these murder-suicides, only the murder part is successful. It's a nice change of pace when the suicide is a success and the murder is a failure.

Very fortunate for the victim that the criminal failed to make fatal wounds in the attack, still it must be a very traumatic experience and I hope she can get a full recovery. Not really enough details to make a proper judgment of the situation and the death of the attacker, but at least the victim surviving is something positive.

Very happy to read again and realise the innocent woman is expected to survive. Here's wishing her a complete recovery. Psychologically, the scars may take years to get over.
My sentiments about the perpetrator remain the same.

This loser couldn't even do his 'murdering' right. Go thing he wasn't successful. At least the lady will survive, that's good. I guess the assailant couldn't face justice or even himself. No great loss there, saves some trouble for the police.

Bye bye loser...

I think it would be very scary to be a young woman in Japan due to these kind of attacks.
Plus the general imbalance in life as well for work, treatment, etc.
Be kind everyone.

Rest in Peace to the poor innocent woman.
Rot in hell to the coward who killed her. Should have jumped out of a window before he killed an innocent woman. No tears shed for him, anywhere.

Japan grapples with a pressing concern pertaining to the occurrence of stabbing incidents, such as the one at hand. In the face of this distressing reality, a profound sense of compassion emerges for the young girls affected by such acts.
