A man robbed a convenience store in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, of 250,000 yen early on Saturday morning. It was the third convenience store robbery in the area since Oct 23.

According to police, the suspect came into the Lawson store at 2:20 a.m. and threatened the 29-year-old clerk with a knife, demanding money, TV Asahi reported. The man ran out of the store and got into a gray-colored car, according to the store clerk who was not injured, police said.

Police said a convenience store four kilometers away was robbed of 80,000 yen on Oct 23 and a store two kilometers away was also robbed on Oct 30. Police said surveillance camera footage shows the suspect to be similar -- a man in his late 20s or early 30s, about 175 cms tall and wearing a white helmet.

Seriously, what's the point here? The possibility of being thrown in prison for a few years, just for a very small amount of money. Stupid decision there.

Youngsters commit such petty crimes to drive thrill as a result of. Movies they watch coupled with the desire to earn easy money -one has to be strong enough to face them

I guess there going to have to start enforcing people coming into the store to remove there helmets. This has been going on for the 20 years that I have lived in and out of Japan. At least no one was hurt which is good.
