Young woman found dead in Fukuoka love hotel

The body of a young woman was found in a Fukuoka love hotel on Thursday night in what police believe to be a murder case. Police said the body of the woman, aged in her 20s, was discovered lying motionless on a bed at 11:30 p.m. by hotel staff.

The hotel immediately called emergency services and the woman was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to police, the woman had a rope tied around her neck when she was found, adding that there were no other obvious signs of injury. Police also found what they believe to be evidence that proves the girl did not enter the room alone, but did not elaborate.

Oh, how awful... This story needs more details (as always). I hope they can figure out what happened.

I wonder what prompted the hotel staff to go to her room at 11:30 p.m. They must have been alerted somehow that there was trouble.

smartacus -- Maybe the allotted time for her room was up? I've not yet ventured into a love hotel, but from what I've heard, you rent the rooms per hour or something like that, right?

I would also think they rang up when time was up and no-one answered. Or could be partner left and they checked.

Rope around neck - could be kinky play(took lives before).

Need more data.

Zenny11 -- True, could be. Or perhaps staged that way, but considering they didn't find any other obvious signs of injury, maybe not. Either way, I hope they catch whoever just left her there, even if it was an accident. It's just so sad.

I've read about such stories before. Most hotels have security videos of their entrances and parking areas, and I suppose they'll be sharing that with the police. Look forward to reading about the killer's arrest -- hopefully soon.

no matter how angry (or aroused) you get you dont take someones life RIP young lady

Actually this sounds more like a case of S&M gone wrong. Maybe they were just inexperienced and the guy went too far. After realizing what he did, he just freaked out and ran. This seems more like accidental manslaughter than murder. Especially since there were no other obvious signs of struggle or injury, it seems the girl allowed herself to be tied up. Either way, the guy shouldn't have just left her. This is so typical in Japan. Just run away. He should made attempts to revive her and called an ambulance. Perhaps he could have saved her.

Maybe they just had sex, guy broke up with her, left her, then she comitted suicide? Or he drugged her or got her drunk then raped her, then either he tied the rope around her neck while she was sedate and had her suspended from the ceiling then left her, or she woke up and discovered what happened to her then comitted suicide? With the lack of data there's just too much possibilities.

It's funny how most posters seem to assume the deceased young woman was with a man - she could have been with a woman and the games the two might have been playing went all wrong. Just sayin'...Regardless, may she rest in peace.

sctaber56.

2 posters = most, most posters here made no allusion to the sex of the other party/partner(unisex).

But agree RIP and hope they get whoever was involved.

The 21 year old victim was a call girl (prostitute). Police are looking for the man who checked out early according to news sources.

Thx, for the info.

Virtuoso:

" Most hotels have security videos of their entrances and parking areas, "

Um... I have never seen that. And I think it would be a major turnoff for customers. Where do you get that idea from?

WilliB.

Many do, just not as openly as lets say a combini or a super.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

i think they should get rid of those love hotels

suzushiitentai:

Good grief, why?? One of the best things about Japan.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Got to agree with WilliB.

Those are NOT brothels or hourly motels/hotels in the overseas sense. Most are very good about choosing who they let in.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A lot of love hotels won't let two people of the same sex in. (Yes, they are actually watching.)

Just saying.

I assumed that their evidence that someone went in with her was something along the lines of a used condom, but that might just be my own speculation.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Just can't understand how anyone can do such a horrendous act in these times. I would think that something went wrong. It is true that a lot of love hotels don't let people of the same sex in out of concern a 3rd person of another sex would join though.

i think they should get rid of those love hotels

More would be saved by getting rid of cars, so please rethink. Beside, people get killed at regular hotels too.

Anyway, so many possibilities. And if she was a call girl as crazyjohn says, there are now even more. Price negotions may have gone badly, or, he might have just not wanted to pay.

I suppose now we can get some posts about how prostitution needs to be stamped out and is oh so dangerous, but I will again point you to cars. Of course some people will say prostitution is not necessary but cars are. Well, it all depends on who you are doesn't it? Some don't need prostitutes and some walk or bicycle to work.

Monkeys:

" I assumed that their evidence that someone went in with her was something along the lines of a used condom, but that might just be my own speculation. "

That`s what I read from the article, too. As usual, razorsharp deduction skills by the local constabulary.

I don't think anyone discounted that notion. But odds are extremely strong it was a man because A) probably even over 95 percent of sex couples are opposite sex and B) most killers are men. It might have been a woman, but that notion is so on the fringe to bring it up is to nitpick.

"The woman had a rope tied around her neck"

I'll bet she was strangled. I hope the killer is found.

This is very sad, too bad for this now dead young woman. RIP

The fact that she was a call girl (prostitute) doesn't bother me a bit, She was a human being that got murdered by some coward, period!

Rest in Peace Young Woman

Whether she was getting paid to go there or doing it gratis has no bearing on this case. Someone is out there who has no problem ending someone else's life. For people like that, I give no quarter.

When love hotels first opened, they were designed with privacy in mind from pulling in the parking lot (curtains on parking lot entrances, handy boards to lean against the car to conceal the plate number) to the "Front" where you received a key through a small door or even from a vending machine.

In the late '80s, I think it was, there was an incident where they found a woman's body stuffed under the bed and it had been there for a week or two before the stench finally required the staff to investigate.

As the staff had not a clue as to who she entered with and the room had been used by countless other people since the crime [ICK!] the police had pretty much nothing to go on. After that, a law was passed that required staff to eyeball patrons by camera, if not face-to-face and, perhaps, video taping, too. (I don't recall the exact details.)

It says there's some evidence of the other person the cops aren't saying about. Presumably they can think of SM going wrong themselves, and there must be something which makes them think otherwise here. Like maybe she was hanging by her neck from ceiling. I imagine the police see SM deaths fairly regularly. (there are more ppl dying every day than we imagine, they see everything).

btw if it was SM gone wrong, not calling somebody, now they were at a hotel, the woman is supposedly a call girl, calling could mean the guy's marriage, or work go down the tubes. Not hard to imagine ppl running in a situation like that.

PS

If you go to a love hotel, do not be surprised if you are taped. In the room. In the act. It is a big business for some of them. It is also probably for fun for some of them. It is also of course not done at some. Just saying, in this day and age it's naive to think there are NOT cameras everywhere.

(of course even if that were the case in this case, the owners would not be forthcoming w/tape as evidence of course, as it would implicate them in crime of taping customers.)

I imagine the police see SM deaths fairly regularly.

Fearmongering.

If you go to a love hotel, do not be surprised if you are taped. In the room. In the act.

Rumor and fearmongering.

Mangaman.

NOT fearmongering.

Most love-hotels are on the level and above but many others can be suspicious and there have been reported incidents of the on-goings being taped for later distribution.

Helps to check out the hotel before you check in. ;)

Mangaman:

Not fearmongering. Peeping Tom videos are a big element in the ura video scene here. They come from somewhere, and love hotels are an obvious location. I had a GF one who scanned the room every time with some electronic gadget to detect a transmitter. Never found anything, though.

Myself, I don´t think my performance is worth publishing, but if somebody wants, I take it as a compliment :-)

Never found anything, though.

My point exactly. I did not say "it never happens" did I? kittyjump says "it's naive to think there are NOT cameras everywhere." kittyjump is fear mongering.

Zenny tells us there are reported incidents. I heard that too. But I cannot name one case. I cannot say how many cases per year. So I am inclined to think they are rare and I think I am justified in saying that.

It would have been fine if kittyjump said that cameras are small and could be anywhere, but that is not what s/he said. What s/he said was fearmongering.

Mangaman:

If you put it like that, I agree.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm a he.

I see we have to be careful when we write in print to ppl we don't know.

I am not fearmongering nor rumormongering.

"It is naive to think there are NOT..." The operative word was meant to be think. It is meant as a way of living, ie don't be surprised when the worst happens. The Japanese word "kakugo". I do not mean to say there are actually video cameras everywhere. However i have seen videos. Yes they could have been taped by the couple, yes it could have been a purposefully dark rough movie with actors. But. There are so many and they are so bad, I conclude they really are planted by hotel staff, or a previous customer who comes back to their favorite room to get his hidden video. There are also vids of coupld in cars, on the beach in parks etc. Be careful wherever you enjoy yourself, is my advice is all.

SM deaths being fearmongering-- Now that made me laugh!! It sounds like everyone on here is doing violent SM and I came on here to scare them!! Death in general is very very mundanely common. It happens every day many times. We only hear about a small percentage of drownings, car accidents, suicides, and even crimes. I think we really rarely hear about sex deaths that are not crimes, but they happen fairly regularly. In the thousands of deaths that happen each week they are a percentage. This doctor in Tokyo who spent a career as an autopsi-ist for decades wrote a series of books about his experiences which I read a couple of.

Hope I've cleared up any doubts for you. Wouldn't want the fine name of kittyjump soiled!!

Could have been one of those freaky sex things too gone wrong. I know a guy that died that way.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Love hotels are fine as a part of Japanese society, though some might prefer a ryokan every two weeks for the weekend instead. It is just too bad when they are abused. I suppose even peaches and bananas could be abused, but that would not make them bad.
