Lady Gaga was the only actress to be nominated for the BAFTAs (British academy awards), SAG (screen actors Guild) awards, Critics Choice award, and Golden Globes. Quite shocking she didn’t get a nomination here.

“Drive My Car,” Japanese director Ryusuke Hamaguchi's masterful three-hour drama, scored major nominations including best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay and international feature film.

Not shocking at all. Lady Gaga's character was a very one-dimensional psychopath after the first half hour of the movie - no nuance to her at all. The movie as a whole was a big bore.

It's disappointing that "Don't Look Up" got nominated for Best Picture. What a weak movie that was. Not funny enough to be a comedy. Not nuanced enough to be powerful. Lots of very shallow and heavy-handed posturing and virtue-signalling soapbox content.

Spot on about *Don’t Look Up *@TheOriginalWing What a disappointment of such a great Oscar Award winning cast. Plus, Jonah Hill, despite past Oscar nominations, keeps playing the type of sleazy, sycophantic character.

Award show should be named "Hollywood Oscar Award"

This is what happens when far left ideologies take over business, it's a race to the bottom. Don't look up is a great example, absolutely bang average movie, 20 years ago it would be nowhere near an award but look where we are now. I'm confident I could make a movie, throw every colour, creed, sexual preference and disability in there, stir it all up and come up with something award worthy in 2023, it's a farce.

Power of the Dog was really griping and subtle. I'm so glad it got so many nominations. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely give it a watch!

Haven't watched them since 1996. Nothing interesting about a bunch of Hollywood elites patting themselves on the back and critiquing which movie THEY think is worthy based on THEIR personal opinions by other elites. Yeah, No thanks.
