Wouldn’t this be the 3rd sequel ?

Geez, talk about running out of ideas.

I’ll watch it if I have Netflix. Murphy is great! Go back and watch some of stand-up stuff, SNL “kill my landlord! kill my landlord!”

You're right.

Also, it's now a 35 year old franchise.

Eddie hasn’t aged at all

Whatever he’s on, I want some

Did the writer of this article even see the other three movies? Well, Beverly Hills Cop 3 wasn't anything special, but still.

Having just looked at the writer's LinkedIn page, she was probably born in 1981, and do would have been a bit young for the original movies.

Murphy -- who starred in the previous three chapters -- will reprise his role as wisecracking detective Axel Foley.

It won't be Beverly Hills Cop without Judge Reinhold as Rosewood and John Ashton as Taggert.

Is this the man... who wrrrrrecked the buffet?

Police Chief Hubbard: Is this the gentleman who crashed through Victor Maitland's window? Who disabled an unmarked unit with a banana?

Lieutenant Bogomil: Yes sir!

Police Chief Hubbard: Who lured Taggart and Rosemont into a gross dereliction of duty at a striptease establishment?

Detective Rosewood: Ah, it's RoseWOOD, sir!

Lieutenant Bogomil: Yes sir!

Police Chief Hubbard: Is this the gentleman who ruined the buffet at the Harrow Club this morning?

Lieutenant Bogomil: Yes sir!

Police Chief Hubbard: I just bet you are the pride of your department in Detroit. Lieutenant, I'd like to see you in your office.

Eddie killed it in Dolemite. Well Wesley Snipes did, but Coming To America 2 and BHC 4, bring them on! Can't wait!

Won't watch but i understand Netflix' strategy; need to bring in the big bucks to produce/buy quality non-mainstream, low-key series (highly recommend 'Unbelievable' which is currently airing on netflix. absolutely brilliant series/cast).

Seems like every 80's movie is getting a 30 year later sequel.

What's next Starsky and Hutch 2?

The first three instalments of "Beverly Hills Cop" -- released in 1984, 1987 and 1994 -- earned $735 million dollars at the global box office

All three films cost a total of $35 million to make. That is an insane profit.

Sadly, I think it's too late to make a new installment with Eddie Murphy. Netflix is throwing money at every idea.
