Toasted Heretic
Initially, I didn't want to see this film. But then again, I initially didn't want to see Better Call Saul, either.
I predict Vince Gilligan will surprise and entertain us yet again.

That was the Sopranos, surely? Unless there have been two "golden ages" of television in the last 20 years.
And there was definitely a "golden age" of TV in the UK during the 80s and 90s.
Anyway, I'll be watching this for sure. BB was great.

This show was unique and great early on, but after the third season or so it felt stretched thin and the plot too contrived. I finished watching the series out of principle and because of the time already sunk into watching it than out of genuine interest, so I'm obviously not interested in any more productions from this series.

Yeah, I agree with Toasted Heretic. At first I thought this was just a cheap cash-in, but Better Caul Saul is really good and I like it more than Breaking Bad itself. I feel like BB was kind of just thought up on the fly and worked out due to the strong acting and character arks, while BCS feels more like it was well thought-out and most of the consequences of one's actions are more real and personal and not absurd like causing plane crashes. I'll look forward to seeing this movie since surely it will have a complete storyline thought out.

I wonder how this will go down as a movie.
BB and BCS were great because we had time to get to know the characters, relate to them, empathize with them.. condensing this to 90 mins will be challenging.
i cant wait and I’m sure we’ll want more when it’s over!

Ha! What a laugh.
There never has been a golden age of TV since the 70’s. Once in a great while a show or two will squeak out. True Detective season 1 was the last great one. Peoples standards are so low at this point it’s gone way past decency and intelligent writing. A couch potato can watch anything.
I can’t speak to that but Endeavour was a great one too.
