'Carry On' and 'EastEnders' star Barbara Windsor dies at 83

Cor blimey she was a sassy girl.

She survived the awful sexism in the British film industry of the 50s , 60s, 70s and for that, she is to be commended.

An icon and a ray of sunshine in many people's lives over the years, taken by such a cruel, awful disease. RIP.

I had to rewatch the Eastenders clip where she slaps Pat and Frank in one go.

She’ll always be remembered for the joyous Carry On films, I love them. Lovely picture of her and Sid there.

I have to say, I'm really disappointed they've been censoring the Carry On movies on TV these past few years. Funny how they never minded during the 70's and 80's.

Barbara Windsor was saying that the producers were worried exposing her nipple in that infamous bra-flying scene would get Carry On Camping censored. Anyone who knows that movie will also know the first scene where Sid, Bernie and their girlfriends were watching a documentary about a nudist camp - there were boobs and bums everywhere!

For anyone who's not familiar with Barbara Windsor, she was the lady with Cyril who got that awful haircut by Dick Van Dyke in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
