It seems like forever since GOT's last episode. It feels weird having them up for the 2018 Emmys when it seems like the show hasn't been around for awhile. I'm looking forward to their final season next year.

Television is just far too good these days. As a kid I recalled it was unnamed actors in commercials graduating to TV, with the goal being the move to the big screen and Hollywood. The move backwards was unthinkable, which is why commercials here with celebs from back home are threatened with lawsuits if aired in the actors’ home countries (awesome as the commercials are). Now television in the West has the budget of big movies, and the actors have embraced what was unthinkable and big stars are the norm. What’s more, movie attendance is down since Hollywood is trying to turn the theatre into TV, with stories being episodic. Wait, you want to see Infinity Wars without having watched five different superhero Tv series and the movies they were spun off of? Too bad.
It is impossible to watch all tv now... and there is so much goodness. I hope Westworld gets some awards. Stellar first season (waiting for season 2 here).
