'Grand Theft Auto' maker says game code stolen

Oh, how terrible.

A much more serious consequence for Rockstar Games than just having some info on the new game leaked is that the leak makes evident a lack of appropriate security to protect their most valued information. This mean that people will not have any confidence their own data would be protected better, and in this age where game companies require a lot of information for online services this could mean people would have to choose between having their data at a (percieved) high risk of being leaked in the same way or just skipping the game and play things from companies that have a better information security.
