'Kinky Boots' to star in movie theaters, coming full circle

I remember being quite excited when I came here as a young man, told I lived in the "kinki" area, and not knowing what that meant. Then I remember being disappointed when told it was the economic zone, not the sexual connotation. Oh well. Perhaps Kinky Boots will be a success, although I don't like most musicals made into movies. Actually, I don't like most musicals, period. You don't walk down the street and break into song about going to work (unless you're crazy), so it's hard to suspend disbelief.

"Coming to the theatres"? It's come already. I saw the movie about 10 years ago.

It's a great film, based on a true story. The musical is dire, though.
