Sorry Hollywood producers: It’s not merit you’re rewarding. And, we recognize it’s not ‘real activism’ if you’re just pretending to support and not putting in your money and efforts. You’re just pushing ‘selective agenda’ ONLY for the purpose of popularity, payola and ‘ratings’.

Particularly the last 5 years for Best Picture winners, the agenda has been focused on race, politics, sexual orientation or religion. How many of those movies were worthy of a 2nd viewing, will be considered a classic and rewatched 30 years later? I liked Green Book but even the left in Hollywood turned on it calling it a racist, white savior movie.

- 1999’s “Shakespeare in Love” with 13 nominations and 7 wins reflects “He, whose name shall no longer be spoken” ‘s power, influence and coercion over much of Hollywood at that time.

Then you must agree that Moonlight is a vastly superior movie to Shakespeare in Love or the appaling "Crash". Because it objectively is wonderfully written, directed and acted. 12 years a slave also was a cinematographic gem (and Steve McQueen is one of the best directors alive). As is Parasite.

So what exactly are you complaining about?
