Maybe they could 'Valerie' it!
Roseanne - Roseanne's Family - The Conner Family

Well you don't have to worry about John Goodman, he is bigger than the show. Also Laurie Metcalf is just coming off an Oscar nomination. She'll be fine. The rest of them, I wish them well.

is 100's of luvvie land people no longer working a "wave of unemployment"??
sounds OTT to me.

Every show that's cancelled creates a slot for another show to fill. The next show will need camera crews, lighting and make up, gaffers, etc. No net job loss.

It's one thing to go after a single individual with the put-downs, but to attack an entire race of millions with racist slurs is completely unacceptable.
Good riddance, Rosanne!

Roseanne Barr maybe unemployed but I don't think she's gonna go broke
SumoBob
One things for sure - Roseanne's certainly morally bankrupt.

You have made two comments here:
And:
You are taking (in)action by TBS on deciding to cancel her show, using that to derice liberal hollywood, progressiveds, and the metoo moment. The TBS executives do not speak for the left, nor does the left have any say in who the TBS executives are. How can you criticize one group for the actions (or inaction) of another unrelated group? How do concerns of liberal hollywood, progressives, and the metoo movement get dismissed out of hand due to the actions of a group they are unrelated to?
If everyone is always responsible for every group with which they they share and opinion that sits on the same side of the left/right divide, then no rational discussion can ever be had, because everyone will always be at fault for something that the other side dismisses them outright for.
Rosanne said some stuff and is paying for it. Samantha Bee said some stuff, and may or may not pay for it. Liberal Hollywood stands for some liberal ideals. Progressives are trying to make the world a more progressive place, and the me too movement is concerned about women having had to deal with harassment and sometimes rape for the history of humanity. All of these are entirely unrelated items that need to be discussed on their own merits, not just cast aside because you don't like something someone else on the other side of the line said not even related to the group you are casting aside.

Forgive me but didn't you just do the same, right there, with your politics?
Roseanne had her free speech moment and the majority of people disagreed with her racism and attack on Soros. So she was dropped. It's not a conspiracy.
Maybe Bee will be dropped. And maybe Ivanka will apologise for her shoe factory and appearance in Jerusalem, who knows?

"We're so sorry for cancelling, but we're not gonna pay you for the trouble."
I feel sorry for the kid actors. Might never get another chance.

The show's top actors are contractually promised 300,000 an episode times 13 for season 2, even if they never film anything. Would be nice if they passed a chunk of this to the crew members who are being punished for one 65 year old fatso's idiocy.

I did say the other day that the show is called Roseanne and therefore, unlike House of Cards, you can't really change the lead character.
Unless, you got a different actor. They did that with Becky.
If people can switch Presidents, maybe it's not such an outlandish idea. That's one way of leaving toxic showbiz stars behind and carrying on with the gig in hand.
Meanwhile, Trump still refusing to condemn Barr but is fine with slamming Bee. Because it's family, right?
And yet, how many "sons of b*tches" has Trump insulted? How many families? There was his insult to Ted Cruz' wife. There was his mocking of the Gold Star mother of the American Muslim soldier, Humayun Khan.
And he never apologises.
Time for this cast member to be shown the door.

That's not exactly true, they will be paid for the work they have done, depending on their contracts, it could be a huge one lump pay given the circumstances, but if you live in California with the highest taxes, property insurance and all the nutty taxes and expenses California has, finding new lasting work at the last minute in the film industry is NOT that easy, so yes, these people are in a bit of a pickle.

They still could find another independent buyer for the show, it is one of the most popular comedies on TV, it would be stupid to let it all go to waste, but this just happened this week, so they don't need to rush, they can research and take their time. Tim Allen is making a big comeback to the delight of fans everywhere, it got picked up by Fox, so there is light at the end of the tunnel in the world of TV.
Speaking of Presidents ABC just changed Presidents, the first Black female President, good news.
No, he shouldn't. If he does then it would make it look like he was responsible for making Barr say those outlandish things, I would never give in to the liberal trap. He shouldn't say anything, she's a grown woman, she opened her big mouth, she needs to deal with the fallout, has absolutely nothing to do with Trump.
And they him as well.
The insult with Trump sexually eying his daughter, Trump has zero obligation to be nice to anyone that gets in his face, nor should he, doesn't matter if you are a Gold star parent or not.
Neither does the left, so.....

Compensation doesn't mean that there is light at the end of the tunnel, they'll get a payout of their contract of what's owed to them of their work and that's it, so now good luck at such a short notice at finding new work. They need to talk to their agents and they need to go looking for roles for the actors, but for the people that put it all together, much more difficult.

As well as thousands of others around the world.

There are pictures and videos and conversations that answer that question already. Samantha was telling a fact, not a joke.
