'Simpsons' producers pull iconic Michael Jackson episode

Until he's actually proven guilty of these accusations, I disagree with the Simpsons pulling the episode as well as Cirque du Soleil cancellation.

Guys, he's dead. You can't hurt him anymore. Why they waited til now to come out with these accusations is beyond me and suspect.

So punish the consumer, good job. When I buy DVD sets, I expect to find all episodes. Shall we start culling law and order episodes, blazing saddles, huckleberry finn, etc?

I don't in any way condone 'Bad' (excuse the pun) behavior, but have we really come to this?

Are we really going to start removing a LOT of art from galleries around the world because the creators were suspect?

How much Art will remain in the world if we retrospectively remove it all?

I'm not trying to diminish the claims of those involved. I'm just wondering if morality trumps (for want of a better word) creativity not related to offenses that may have occured outside the realm of artistic expression?

Iirc the episode in question (it was a long time ago), it's about a man pretending to be MJ. I don't think it condones his behaviour by keeping it out there. Otherwise, is Jeffrey Jones going to be digitally removed from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Kevin Spacey from The Usual Suspects, and so on...

I do find it hard to listen to MJ these days, but to make like he never existed?

A grown adult getting into bed with young boys is hardly innocent behaviour.
