'Star Wars' Obi Wan spin-off in the works

Ewan McGregor, who played Kenobi in the much-maligned prequel series, will be an early favorite for the role, although at 46 he might be a stretch if the film concentrates on the character's formative years.

Good point. Ewan did his best with the dodgy prequels.

Star Wars finally got the prequel idea correct with Rogue One; a thrilling addition to the saga.

And of course we have Han Solo's er, solo outing next year.

Personally; I'd like to see a new take on the Star Wars universe. How about stories set in the far future, so they are not as constrained as the current crop; having to fit in and all that.

I've got a good feeling about this.
