With all these different exclusive platforms, many people don't have access to seeing many of the shows.

Speed: Yeah, it stinks. It's somewhat ironic that with the introduction of more and more streaming services, the whole thing is becoming more and more like cable television. Want to watch show A, well, you need this channel. Want to watch B? Well, you need THAT channel. Streaming was supposed to be the alternative to a lot of this -- a one-stop online shop that made rental and cable TV somewhat irrelevant. But, now it's just glorified cable. Sigh. Fun to read about what I might want to watch if they are ever shown on the one(s) I do subscribe to.

I remember while growing there would be a lot of choreographed dance troups and other BS to expand the whole show into a 2 hour slot. Then, the announcements and winners. Then the 15 Minute Wonder would gush and thank well, you know the agenda.

And the 'winning' TV show? In a few years it's forgotten. Just like the multi-Oscar winning films, forgotten in 15-20 years. It's a little different for the Grammys in music. Some of certainly deserve their awards and go on to become legends and giants (like Phil Collins and U2) but some of the 'big scoopers' are also flashes in the pan. Remember when Toto got 6 Grammys in 1983 and Christopher Cross in 1980? Where are they now?
