Not going to read it, not going to watch it, not going to see it.

You know you will though!

I predict people will complain about it from now until months after it’s done, yet it will make over a billion people will watch it and most who see it will think it was very entertaining.

Easy prediction since that already happened twice.

Enough Star Wars, enough Avengers !

Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca)

As long as Chewbacca is in it how bad can it be?

Well, this is the last one, so we can rejoice until Disney gets greedy again (and you know they will, the mouse always wins) they will announce 3 more NEW sequels, it’ll happen. Disney ruins everything they touch.

No I avoided TLJ as well and didn't miss it then either

Will Disney ever let this cash cow end? Too many sequels, prequels, spinoffs these days IMO...especially in SF. Hardly any of them much good. Something new and original please!

Should now be called Mary Sue in Space Saves Everybody! Rey is killing the franchise.

Kanpai Jedi!

Repetition, cinematically so, with some toe curling dialogue, count the yippee's

Then the Romeo and Juliet, Anakin and Padme scene,

My goodness you’ve grown,” …...“So have you… grown more beautiful, I mean…” …..Little wonder Tatooine. depopulated to a dust-bowl!........

Still my nephews and nieces adore the whole Star Wars thing, after all Kylo Ren lightsabre is brighter and longer than Reys and splays out at the sides.

From the photo above.. I hope they're not going to change Luke into a Girl/Woman ... !!!

I don't really care for sexual bias so long as they don't bother me, however.. when you mess around with things such as "Doctor Who" (as the BBC did) or "Star Wars" as is seemingly being done now.. then that says a lot on how we've become totally messed up with "Political Correctness" ... maybe PC is actually a Russian influenced persuasion to make us all weaker ???

I'll probably watch it, but I don't expect to enjoy it much. This latest trilogy has been pretty disappointing. Big on SFX, little on plot. I'm actually kind of annoyed that Palpatine seems to be returning. After Force Awakens, one of the Star Wars writers firmly stated that Palpatine was dead (fans had been theorising that Snoke was in fact Palpatine), saying that "Palpatine is dead. Vader killed him, as in killing was involved" (may not be the exact quote but close enough). So to have Ep IX go back on that just seems like poor storytelling.

I wouldn't object to more Star Wars films if they were in the same vein as Rogue One and Solo though, those were really good. No suffering through Kylo Ren aka the worst Sith since Count Dooku in those movies.

@mmwkdw: That's Rey, not Luke. Assuming you're being serious with your question of course, and not sarcastic.

'Doctor Who' has always been reincarnated into different forms anyway but the latest is the worst. And I hope Star Wars doesn't go that route too. And since Carrie Fisher is dead in real life but Leia 'survived' in the last movie, things are getting a bit too weird and far-fetched. This is supposed to be science fiction, not fantasy. Sci-fy is fiction of what can happen based on what we know now.

When Star Wars came out, the first novelization said it was from 'The Adventures of Luke Skywalker'. I hope the series doesn't stray too far from that.

It's wizards with magic powers, princesses and evil conjurers of an ancient order. Of course it's fantasy!

The first Star Wars was great, followed by a steady decline in every installment. What began as interesting SciFi has turned into ridiculous nonsense.

Let's see.

So-called "fans" using toxic epithets like Mary Sue and SJWs to castigate actual fans of the franchise is fine but to counter them, to describe their fear of strong females as classic examples of broflake behaviour is not on?

There needs to be balance to the force.

Star Wars buffs will suck it up, JJ Abrams is no slouch and he will prolly deliver a pretty good "product" for Disney...as for bargain bin shopping for latest releases, by the time this hits the shelves for thrifty punters you'll be on the pension...

Not going to read it, not going to watch it, not going to see it. Kathleen Kennedy can forget about it. One more loss and she's gone

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

Should be called "Earth Wars", as so little of the movie now is set in the "stars".

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

It's probably just another SJW flick. This is not Star Wars.

I may watch it on DVD when it hits the bargain bins at the BX. I shop there sometimes for hard to get American products. Then again most of the electrical products are overpriced and out of date with the exception of dvds. I will not rush to the theater to watch it.
