SDCC is baaaaaaack!!
Let's hope they don't try to match its more than insulting final season and series finale.

Rings of Power looks like hot garbage, I feel bad for anyone who likes it.

Haters gonna hate.

With that many people it looks like it's going to be the Corona Convention.

I went to the Tokyo Comi-con about 10 years ago. There were all these booths promoting various comics/manga. There was also a military recruiting station for the Self Defense Force. The attendees were all dressed as their favorite comic characters, and well more than half of the guys were dressed as their favorite female comic character. I wondered how the recruiting station was doing.

”Game of Thrones”….terrible ending.
“Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power"….terrible pre-production, production, and post-production.

If that is what they do for fun, good luck to them.
Refuse to see any Lord of the Rings stuff, I have read the books more than once and have my own vision of how it and the people look, I don’t want someone else’s vision over laying it.

I feel like most people complaining about the finale are just sour that it actually ended.
Sure it felt a bit rushed, but it was pretty epic at the same time.

Looks like "House of the Dragon" will get it right this time because it's now being directed by a diehard fan that idolized the books and is working alongside George RR Martin which is great news because the last time GoT from seasons 5 to 7 was just depressing

No, I'm sore about it because it was slipshod and unsatisfactory. You could tell they went for quantity over quality. They also hyped up the last season like it was going to be this epic, mind blowing, heads-will-turn experience because of how long it took them to film it and they ended up not delivering. The entire last season made me see that investing my time, years of it, turned out to be a gigantic waste.

I personally enjoyed the last few seasons of GoT. I thought they were very entertaining.
Everyone hates everything in the new age, it's "cool". If you can poo-poo on something more than other people do, you get social credit. This is the real reason why everyone hated the last few seasons of GoT.

Wow, hopefully lesson learned. Took me all of 8 minutes and never watched it again. It looks like the new Amazon spinoff of Lord of the rings looks the same. Black Hobbits? How did that happen?

Di these people realize this fashion started in Porno movies?
Yeah, maybe they do.

Well, for those that didn’t read the books like my wife enjoyed it, others that read the books like myself hated it, even George RR Martin was beyond displeased with how the director’s told and messed up his vision of the story, even some of the actors complained, it was just a huge mess.
This new show however should not have that problem and I definitely have more hope that since Martin is deeply involved in this project and the new director a hardcore fan who directed some of the more memorable stories in GoT I have no doubt they’ll get it right this time.

No. Another wrong take as usual.
You can't solely blame the show's writers because Martin failed to deliver the final two books as promised. He only has himself to blame because he left the ending to the show's writers due to his laziness or inability to create content on time. The writers had no content from Martin after season 5. If he had done what he said he would do in time, the show's last three seasons would've been different and possibly better.

I never knew watching a show was an investment. I'm sorry you wasted your precious time.
bass4funk
I disagree, don't think I am wrong at all.
Yes, I can blame them because after season 4 the writers had a falling out with Martin, they didn't try to seek his directional advice, work with him, it got so bad he even stopped mentioning their names, and he was so disgusted with them.
No, the writers could have sat down and hashed out their ideas and listen to Martin's ideas because it's his world that he created and that people love so much.
Then they are the ones that should not have been lazy and should have gone to Martin to seek his advice they didn't and the rest is history.
Well, the only thing I can say and after watching this newest trailer that was just released today, this show will be everything that GoT could have and should have been and with Martin and Condal and Sapochnik at the helm, this show will rock and they must have done something right because they are already signed for Season 2 which is unusual and determined after the season has ended so I as well as a lot of people are excited about this new show and the fact that it follows the books more closely and Martin being an advisor and quite pleased is really exciting.

Investing is putting in something, to get more out of it.
What exactly were you expecting to get out of watching GoT that was going to make your life so much better, and how did the last season prevent that improvement in your life from happening?
People be waaaaaay to serious about some stories.

You have to be careful towards who you think may be Female there...

More entertaining and closer to adhering to the original story.
Or people.
