These channels churn out maudlin melodramas for the madams. The enamel will start peeling off man-teeth within moments if you tune in.
Ditto the mention of It's a Wonderful Life and Peanuts, annual events in my Japanese home. Plus Frosty and Rudolph and the Grinch and Scrooged!

Agreed. The only 'Grinch' for me is the original Dr. Seuss special, not the 'live action' from the mid 90s. The original one has all the cool songs on it, incl. 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch'. That singer singing the lyrics with the disgusting metaphors - man, he rules!
