Bad look and sad future for the movie industry when the hits consist of comic book retreads and sequels to sequels and remakes. Why bother to spend money on this unimaginative and unoriginal trash

Tried to watch the latest spider-man movies (for the sake of the nostalgia) but it was too painful to watch, felt like 3, 4 hours and in a bad way.

Wouldnt mind the constant awful "jokes" and the overly emotional characters (guess this is a generation thing) but they messed with the plot waaay too much.

Multiverse? Multiple Spider-men living in different worlds? Ressurected villains?

Simple plot you can actually follow was the best.

Every minute of the first 3 Spider-man movies can be enjoyed by adults and kids.

Immigration. The USA has quite the history of it.

This looks nothing like the original (and more fun) 'Transformers' from the 80s. If anything, nearly all these films are looking more and more the same all the time. Totally indistinguishable from another.

And last year the grossly unrealistic insulting-to-the-intelligence 'Top Gun: Maverick' got so much praise from fickle geeky critics and was ate up by the armchair generals and skippy kids and chickenhawks who are pissed about how the 20-year Afghanistan gladiator TV show turned out. Some people never move on, some people never grow up, some people never learn anything or thrive.

Sad, man. Really really SAD.

Passing off your opinion as fact. Provide evidence that that's the case.

Enough with the super hero movies. How about some dramas and comedies?

Switch to kdrama series. Much better than anything Hollywood dishes out.

Wouldn't know anything about the movie, since Japan will be the very LAST country to open The Transformers movie in August.

Just thinking of having to watch these movies turns my stomach.

People have realized that the only way to change the movie industry is to stop paying and it's already started. Most of Marvel's phase 4 failed or underperformed badly. Toy Story 4 flopped, only 37% continued to watch Rings of Power, Batwoman was dumped after completion, Little Mermaid has only made $400mil, and Indiana Jones 5 is looking like a train wreck with projected numbers dropping like a stone.

The response from studios like Disney and Netflix is to attack the audience, fans, and even countries calling them racist for not liking or criticizing the films. Disney is even blaming China for Little Mermaid's poor numbers claiming China is racist for not going to see it. The 'actors' and producers of Netflix's Cleopatra called Egypt racist for opposing a black Cleopatra.

Luckily, there's still a few releases this year that have grabbed my attention and I'll gladly give them my cash for their efforts.

Wow! Japanese IP is kicking some butt. First Super Mario Brothers, Now Transformers

And Spider Verse was made by Sony Pictures using Japanese Animation styles.
