So... it's okay for Amerika to blatantly do business, sell weapons, instigate and profit with well documented human rights violators without batting a moral eye. I hope he doesn't do it- but that really isn't the issue is it.

Playing at that hellhole would be like saying you accept it and go along with their murderous deeds. That and just plain greed. When Laura Branigan herself played at Sun City, apartheid South Africa in 1988 she made it clear she was just there to play and make money. She didn't give a damn about the apartheid issue and she said so. Linda Ronstadt and Andrew Gold were the same way in 1982.

Maria Carey didn't seem to give a damn about playing for Qaddafy's thug elite either. Money talks, BS walks.

Last time I visited Canada (2019) people there told me about what a wuss he is. They ain't too proud of him either.

How many told you that? Was it one or two or maybe 3. Did you conduct a survey of the population?

In Niagara Falls, CN I sight-seed and bought some legal cannibis. I was talking about the further travelling I was going to be doing soon, and Bieber is from Hamilton. We joked that I didn't have time to search for and 'jack-slap that ninny up'. Like in America, only the 13 y/o girls in Canada like Justin Bieber. On top of that I was wearing a T-shirt celebrating the final tour of the Great Canadian Rock'n'Roll Export and Pride and Joy band that we know as RUSH.

He is Canadian. We, the USA, don't claim him.

Because every Canadian knows him personally, right?

Justin is well known to be an immature jerk even in Canada. RUSH has a long inluential career and legacy of intelligent butt-kicking rock music. They are well known and honored in Canada. You just know it.

And you recommend the JB risk his career

What are you on about. He wouldn't be risking his career. He just wouldn't be able to perform in the middle east.

use his performance on stage in Saudi Arabia and shout his support for the LGBTQ+ community

Hilarious

Theres a friggen war going on with SA and Yemen, tens of thousands have died and more are starving in Yemen. And you recommend the JB risk his career for what? LGBWhatever? Selfish and crazy.

Time for The Bieb to grow a pair. If he decides to cancel his performance in Saudi Arabia, that would be the right thing to do. If he can't cancel due to legal reasons (=money), then he should use his performance on stage in Saudi Arabia and shout his support for the LGBTQ+ community and for the wife of Jamal Khashoggi.

The rights groups should publish a list of places that they approve of

Its just abt business and money folks.

USA never really cares abt human right violations in Saudi Arabia as government so why this fuss?

This guys is doing same thing as his own government!

Egging somebody's house, crapping in a trashcan, drunk driving? And after a show in my hometown he lipped off to an ethnic Arab in a club too.

Should never accept these engagements in the first place rather than accept then cancel.

Remember Sun City in South Africa during the apartheid era? Queen, Julio Iglaesis, Laura Branigan, Elton John, Rod Stewart, others played in that human rights hellhole. Then during the 00's some singers like Maria Carey performed exclusively for Qaddafy's thug club in Libya. This is the same crap. And in all these cases the performers get big money to do this, to make the totalitarian regime look good.

And as the band RUSH has said, 'Big money goes around the world...Big Money has a mean streak, Big Money GOT NO SOUUUL!!!!!' (here's where the synthesizer and guitar attacks come in).

Fun. Are they going to keep him there? I got 5 on it.

The Suadi's are so rich that even they are rich compared to Bieber, who is ridiculously rich.

Fine, I will take his place. Hook me up to a karaoke machine. But I won't do it for anything less than six figures. Joking aside, why do these wealthy celebs need the money anyway? They must have been offered way more than usual.
