I remember being read this in the 5th grade and I liked the story. It wasn't a 'girl power' thing, it was a youth power thing. And the 'Girl Power' issue from the stupid Spice Girls is an idiotic JOKE.

Guess I'll be taking a miss on this one. Don't want to watch another role-reversal film.

Whatever positive message the movie is trying to convey, judging from the trailers, I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to miss it. Everything I've seen so far makes the movie just look really, really bad.
